Description
A towering, feral gnoll dominates the battlefield, its mottled hide slick with blood and strange fungal growths. Its eyes glint with predatory cunning, and its jagged, bloodstained axe seems almost fused with its own twisted body. Around its legs and arms, faint spores drift through the air, leaving a noxious haze that sickens any who come too close.
The Alpha exudes an aura of primal dominance over lesser creatures. Hyenas and gnolls alike obey its subtle commands, coordinating attacks with lethal efficiency. Its presence is marked by an unsettling roar that spreads both fear and toxin through the battlefield, leaving even the strongest warriors wary.
Combat with the Bloodroot Alpha is brutal and relentless. It strikes with a vicious axe, laced with poison, and can move with terrifying speed to make a Frenzied Charge. Its Sporeburst Roar can corrode the stamina and health of anyone in its path, creating a persistent poisonous zone that lingers even after the roar fades. Those who attack it recklessly may trigger its Bloodroot Corruption Aura, taking poison damage for simply being near the creature during its strikes.
The Alpha is a tactical predator. It favors positioning with allies nearby to maximize Pack Dominance bonuses, and it knows how to exploit the battlefield to force enemies into its poisoned zones. A critical strike from this gnoll isn’t just deadly—it’s savage, hitting with a precision that would make even veteran adventurers flinch.
