Knowledge Bargain. The Weave Merchant can enter into a bargain with any spellcaster or any adventurer with the ability to cast spells. Weave Merchants will typically offer gold, favors or other items in exchange for the knowledge of a spell. a player who sells a spell removed the spell completely from their spells, and cannot ever learn it again. Weave merchants will typically try to avoid mentioning this fact. players can also, in rare occasions, pay a weave merchant to teach them a spell, which can be from any spell list.
Spellcasting. The Weave Merchant has several spells already known when met, the amount is up to the DM, but all Weave Merchants will typically have the following. Weave Merchants can only use a spell once and must buy it from a new source to use it again.
Cantrips: Ray of Frost x 2 Firebolt x5
1st level: Burning hands x3 Charm Person x 3
3rd level Spells: Fireball x 3
Multiattack: The Weave Merchant makes two knife attacks or uses one of its stored spells
Knife. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) [damage type] damage.
Description
Weave Merchants are tricky fey who seek out spell casters, buying their knowledge of spells to use for themselves. a successful Weave Merchant can potentially have hundreds of spells stored within them. some say that they are fragments of Mystra's persona, out to take back all magical knowledge.
