Legendary Resistance (3/Day, or 4/Day in Lair). If the Gañañunfla fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. The Gañañunfla has Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. The Gañañunfla makes three Rend attacks. It can replace one attack with a use of Spellcasting to cast Tasha's Mind Whip.

Rend. Melee Attack Roll: +10, reach 10 ft. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) Slashing damage plus 4 (1d8) Psychic damage.

Surreal Breath (Recharge 5–6). The Gañañunfla exhales a concentrated discharge of colorful sparks. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 18, each creature in a 60-foot-long, 5-foot-wide Line. Failure: 40 (9d8) Psychic damage. Success: Half damage.

Euphoria Breath. The Gañañunfla exhales a wave of sparkling mist. Wisdom Saving Throw: DC 18, each creature in a 60-foot Cone.
First Expossure: The target has the Incapacitated and repeats the save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. While Incapacitated, the target uses all its movement on each of its turns to move in a random direction.
Second Expossure: The target has the Unconscious condition for 10 minutes. This effect ends for the target if it takes damage or a creature within 5 feet of it takes an action to wake it.

Spellcasting. The Gañañunfla casts one of the following spells, requiring no Material components and using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 16):

At Will: Detect Magic, Minor Illusion, Tasha's Mind Whip, Shapechange (Beast or Humanoid form only, no Temporary Hit Points gained from the spell, and no Concentration or Temporary Hit Points required to maintain the spell), Dancing lights
1/Day Each: Hallucinatory Terrain, Greater Invisibility

Bonus Actions

Sparkling Misty Step. The Gañañunfla magically teleports to an unoccupied space it can see within 60 feet of it.

Legendary Actions

Legendary Action Uses: 3 (4 in Lair). Immediately after another creature’s turn, the Gañañunfla can expend a use to take one of the following actions. The Gañañunfla regains all expended uses at the start of each of its turns.

Pounce. The Gañañunfla moves up to half its Speed, and it makes one Rend attack.

Blazing Sparks (Costs 2 Actions). Uses Sparkling Misty Step or Spellcasting.

Otherworldy Spell (Costs 3 Actions). Intelligence Saving Throw: DC 16, one creature that can see the Gañañunfla within 120 feet. Failure: 15 (6d4) Psychic damage, and the target is charmed by the Gañañunfla until the end of its next turn.

Description

“Gañañunfla” is the name given by the inhabitants of the great city of Vorona and its surrounding villages to some mystical and elusive beings, occasionally sighted in the forests surrounding the steam-powered city.

From the limited perspective and understanding of these people, gañañunflas are small, chicken-like creatures with vibrant, surreal colors, sometimes possessing limbs or features of other animals.

Due to their mischievous nature and fairy origin, these playful creatures only reveal themselves to kind-hearted people, as they are able to sense the intentions of other beings around them. They are harmless, but they enjoy teasing intelligent creatures and quickly disappearing, which is why many people claim they aren't even real, but merely an invention, an urban legend.

In our world, we know that these intricate and amusing creatures are not chickens, but rather outlandish combinations of other animals, and we give them a specific name: Alebrijes.

Until now, no one has ever witnessed it, but when a gañañunfla manages to live long enough without getting into trouble or hurting itself with its own mischief, and if it is in constant contact with kind-hearted people, it can undergo a metamorphosis in which its size increases slightly, but its magical abilities and qualities increase exponentially, making it comparable to a dragon of the material plane.

Habitat: Planar (Feywild)
