Traits

Instrument Training. Bertie gains proficiency with three Musical Instruments of your choice.

Encouraging Song. As he finishes a Short or Long Rest, Bertie can play a song on a Musical Instrument with which he has proficiency and give Heroic Inspiration to allies who hear the song. The number of allies he can affect in this way equals their Proficiency Bonus.

Elven Lineage (High Elf). As a high elf, Martin knows the Prestidigitation cantrip.

Actions

Quarterstaff. Melee Attack Roll: +5, reach 5 ft. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) Bludgeoning damage.

Spellcasting. Charisma is his spellcasting ability for his Bard spells (spell save is DC 13):

At Will: Vicious Mockery, Dancing Lights

4/Day Each: Charm Person, Disguise Self, Healing Word,Dissonant Whispers

2/Day Each: Shatter, Suggestion

Bonus Actions

Bardic Inspiration. As a Bonus Action, Bertie can inspire another creature within 60 feet of himself who can see or hear him. That creature gains one of his Bardic Inspiration dice (The Tumble).

Reactions

Uncanny Dodge. Trigger: Bertie is hit by an attack roll. Response: Bertie halves the damage (round down) it takes from that attack.

Cutting Words. When a creature that Bertie can see within 60 feet of himself makes a damage roll or succeeds on an ability check or attack roll, he can take a Reaction to expend one use of his Bardic Inspiration; roll his Bardic Inspiration die, and subtract the number rolled from the creature’s roll, reducing the damage or potentially turning the success into a failure.

Description

Bertie is an older, spry pure high elf bard who is known for his incredible luck and positive outlook on life. He’s a charming fellow whose movements are surprisingly agile, often involving little skips and clumsy-yet-graceful tumbles.
