Traits

Pack Tactics. The utahraptor has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the utahraptor's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Leaping Attack. If the utahraptor jumps at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with an Eviscerating Claw attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 3 (1d6) slashing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Long Leap. The utahraptor's long jump is up to 30 ft. and its high jump is up to 15 ft., with or without a running start.

Tracker. The utahraptor can smell blood up to 5 miles away. It can small any creature within that radius that does not have all of its hit points and can sense the presence of such a creature if it is within 60 feet of it. The utahraptor can pinpoint the creature's exact location, even if it is hiding or has total cover, with a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Survival) check.

Actions

Multiattack. The utahraptor makes two bite attacks and an Eviscerating Claw attack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d10 + 3) piercing damage.

Eviscerating Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage. If the target is a creature other than an undead or a construct, it must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or lose 5 (1d10) hit points at the start of each of its turns due to an eviscerating wound, its organs, or other vital innards spilling out. Each time the utahraptor hits the wounded target with this attack, the damage dealt by the wound increases by 5 (1d10). Any creature can take an action to stanch the wound with a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Medicine) check. The wound also closes if the target receives magical healing.

Bonus Actions

Hungry Jaws. The Utahraptor can throw itself into a feeding frenzy. As a bonus action, it can make a special attack with a Bite. If the attack hits, it deals its normal damage, and it gains temporary hit points equal to its proficiency bonus. It can use this trait a number of times equal to its proficiency bonus, and regains all expended uses when it finishes a long rest.

Reactions

Survival Instincts.  When the Utahraptor is hit by an attack, it can move up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks, provided it has half or less hp.

Bloody Rampage. (2/day) When the Utahraptor reduces a creature to 0 hit points with a weapon melee attack, it gains one extra Bite attack until the end of your turn. Target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or lose 5 (1d10)  hit points at the start of each of its turns from an eviscerating wound.

Description

Utahraptors are among the largest of all raptor species, covered in feathers and able to leap extraordinary distances to attack prey they are some of the most feared of all dinosaur hunters. Utahraptors rarely hunt in packs, preferring to stalk prey on their own from a distance before leaping to strike with devastating effect. However, prey large enough in size or numbers will bring individuals together to ensure a successful hunt for all involved.

A utahraptor will usually ambush its prey with a powerful leap, landing on it with its massive claws and tearing at vital organs after knocking its prey to the ground.  Utahraptors possess an immense primary claw on each foot, a 15-inch long curved weapon designed for puncturing flesh and ripping out organs. These claws are often sought by explorers for use as wicked daggers, and by tribal leaders for their use in medicines and religious ceremonies. Lizardfolk and other races found in the wilds are known for fashioning jewelry from the claws of utahraptors, which they believe instill them with the spirit of a hunter.
