Actions

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) slashing damage.

Fury of the Dragon. Starting at 2nd level
Your dragon companion has grown in strength and can now take the Attack action on its turn.
Additionally, when your dragon makes a claw attack, it may replace that attack with one of the special attacks listed below. These special attacks deal the same damage as a claw attack unless otherwise stated.
Your dragon can use these special attacks a number of times equal to its Strength modifier (minimum 1). All expended uses are regained when you finish a short or long rest.

Bite Attack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d6 piercing damage plus 2d6 lightning damage.

Elemental energy gathers in your dragon's jaws.
The attack deals an additional 1d8 damage of your dragon’s elemental damage type.
This bonus damage increases to 2d8 at 9th level and 3d8 at 14th level.

Tail Attack. Your dragon lashes out with its tail at a creature within 10 feet.

  • The target must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your dragon’s Strength modifier).

  • On a failed save, the target is knocked prone.

The reach of this attack increases by 5 feet at 9th level and another 5 feet at 14th level.

Wing Attack. Instead of dealing claw damage, your dragon beats its wings powerfully.

  • Creatures of your choice within 10 feet must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your dragon’s Strength modifier).

  • On a failed save, a creature is pushed 10 feet away from the dragon.

At 9th level, both the radius of the effect and the distance pushed increase by 5 feet, and they increase by an additional 5 feet at 14th level.

After using this attack, the dragon may immediately move up to half its flying speed.

Dragon’s Claw. Starting at 3rd level, you and your dragon gain the following benefits:

Coordinated Assault: When both you and your dragon are within 5 feet of a hostile creature, that creature has disadvantage on any attack roll that does not target you or your dragon.
Additionally, when a hostile creature’s movement provokes an opportunity attack from you, you can use your reaction to attempt to grapple or shove the creature instead of making an opportunity attack.
Dragon’s Eye
Also at 3rd level, you and your dragon gain heightened battlefield awareness:
You and your dragon each add your Charisma modifier to your initiative rolls.
If you can see your dragon, creatures that your dragon can see do not gain advantage on attack rolls against you from being hidden from you.

Coordinated Attack

Beginning at 5th level, you and your dragon companion form a more potent fighting team. When you take the Attack action on your turn, if your dragon companion can see or hear you, it can use its reaction to make a melee weapon attack.
