Traits

Siege Monster. The ashen beast deals double damage to objects and structures.

Magic Weapons. The ashen beasts weapon attacks are magical.

Water Susceptibility. For every 5 feet the ashen beast moves in 1 foot or more of water, it takes 5 (1d10) cold damage.

Ashen Shroud. The creature is surrounded by a shroud of ash that obscures vision. The aura dissipates when blown by strong wind or after the creature is reduced to half their maximum hp. Whilst surrounded by this ash, all attacks on the creature that rely on sight have disadvantage.

Actions

Bash Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the ogre can push the target 5 feet away if the target is Huge or smaller.

Block the Path  Until the start of the ashen beast’s next turn, attack rolls against the ogre have disadvantage, it has advantage on the attack roll it makes for an opportunity attack, and that attack deals an extra 16 (3d10) bludgeoning damage on a hit. Also, each enemy that tries to move out of the ogre’s reach without teleporting must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or have its speed reduced to 0 until the start of the ogre’s next turn.

Description

These abominations created by the Sun Elves are ruthless soldiers that do their bidding. Designed to be assassins, these creatures can turn into a cloud of ash, rushing towards their target and striking before they understand what is happening to them.
