Spellcasting. The Unseelie Knight is a 1st-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks). It regains its expended spell slots when it finishes a short or long rest. It knows the following spells:
1st level (3 1st-level slots): faerie fire, hex
Multiattack. The unseelie knight makes two attacks, using Scimitar or Longbow in any combination.
Scimitar. Melee Attack Roll: +5, reach 5 ft. Hit: 10 (1d6 + 5) Slashing damage plus 4 (1d8) Necrotic damage.
Longbow. Ranged Attack Roll: +3, range 150/600 ft. Hit: 11 (1d8) Piercing damage plus 4 (1d8) Necrotic damage.
Disengage. The unseelie knight's movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks for the rest of the turn.
Parry. Trigger: The unseelie knight is hit by a melee attack roll while holding a weapon. Response: The unseelie knight adds 2 to its AC against that attack, possibly causing it to miss.
Description
Unseelie knights are the souls of warriors long since dead, inhabiting the wood of fallen trees within the Queen of Air and Darkness' domain. Sworn to eternal service and bound to her will, they are relentless fighters carrying with them scimitars and arrows of pure black crystal.
Knight Recruitment
Being killed by these knights (full dead not 0 hit points) will cause the creature to wake up naked within the trunk of a fey tree at 1 hit point. Here the creature will be berated by the tree until unknowingly they agree to service as a knight to the Queen of the Unseelie court, and the tree will then crush them and become their new body.
If a creature is somehow able to escape without making any oath/deal, there are no lingering effects from being killed by the knight.
