Keen Hearing and smell. The Beja has advantage on Wisdom (perception) checks that rely on hearing and smell.
Imprinting. The Beja has distinct opportunity to be imprinted on (as a pup). Actions completed with partner provide advantage on checks, saving throws, or attack roles. *once per short rest.
Bio-Luminescents. The Beja uses its glowing orbs to intimidate creatures of similar size of the beja. These orbs also have a dim light that can be seen up to 20ft. *only applicable at night or when a moon is out.
Sixth Sense. the action sends a "wave" around the target or group with a 70ft Radius.(Perception Check)
Laceration. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 7 ft., 2 targets. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 4) [Slashing] damage.
Deafening Howl. RangedWeapon Action: +0 to hit, range 120 ft radius.Within hearing range. Hit: 13 (+0) [frightened chance].
Protective Bond. Upon imprinted partner taking damage the Beja has increased "Laceration" damage (+d4) towards enemy.
During an encounter.
Shadow Mimic (Costs 1 Actions). Beja mimics any noise it has previously encountered or has dreamt.
Dream Walking (costs 2 Actions). Before a long rest this ability can be activated. Using a d100, 0-30: Beja has Night terror and must be calmed by imprinted partner or else (-2 STR) all of next day. 31-80: Gains connection with ancestry bloodline (+2 pts) in any ability modifiers of choice for the day. 81-100: Beja gains vision of a hunt that allows it to mimic a creatures sound from said dream. (roll d6) (1:tiny 2:small 3:medium 4:large 5:huge 6: gargatuan.) *can choose any creature from selection.
Description
A Beja is a Larger, more alien like DireWolf. They hunt on their own and on some rare occasions in 2's. Their fur is a greyish with a purple hue, dark in color. They have radiating orbs used for distraction, intimidation, and trap hunting features. These orbs are also used in mating. The species is found throughout the universe considering their spiritual and telepathically capabilities. They make excellent pets if raised from pups, but a wild adult or elder will not hesitate to kill any creature in its territory. Bejas age twice as fast as Dire wolves. As a pet it is not uncommon for them to hunt alone and bring back food for the group or partner. Where the beja is from it is also common for multi species reproduction.

Lair and Lair Actions
The Bejas lair is in a dark cold forest den. Inside the lair itself can contain anywhere from 2 mating bejas or 10 Bejas of all ages but usually it only contains one Elder Beja. The moon is at its all time brightest point but the trees secure darkness from below.
On initiative count 18 , the Beja takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the Beja can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Echoing Howl: players have disadvantage on intimidation check and chance of being feared. Players have to make a constitution saving throw to avoid effects of dark forest fear.
- Bio-Luminescent Disorientation: disadvantage from range attacks. The Bejas glowing orbs causes false targets and disorientation.
Regional Effects
The region containing a legendary Beja’s lair is clouded in darkness. Which creates one or more of the following effects:
- Disadvantage to range attacks.
- Need of darkvision
If the Beja dies, these effects fade over the course of 2 d4 days.
