Traits

Trait Name: Kinetic Impulsivity
Description: The monster cannot stay still while its mind races. If the monster moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a melee attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 9 (2d8) psychic damage and must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be knocked Prone. Additionally, the monster does not provoke opportunity attacks when it moves out of a creature's reach after hitting it with an attack.

Actions
Action Name: Hyper-Fixated Onslaught
Description: The monster lashes out with a flurry of strikes fueled by intense, singular focus. If the monster has advantage on the attack roll (such as from its Hyper-Focus trait), it can immediately make one additional Rapid Strike against the same target as part of this action.
Action Melee Attack:
Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 18 (3d8 + 5) psychic damage.
Bonus Actions
Bonus Actions Description
Dopamine Chase. The monster moves up to half its speed toward a creature it has not damaged yet this combat. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
Rabbit Hole. The monster chooses a creature it can see within 30 feet and "teleports" to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of that creature. This represents the monster suddenly becoming fascinated by a new target and forgetting its previous position.
Hyper-Fixate. The monster chooses one creature it can see within 60 feet. Until the start of its next turn, the monster has advantage on all attack rolls against that creature, but it has disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks and all saving throws against effects created by other creatures.
Sudden Pivot. Prerequisite: The monster must have used its Scattered Focus trait this turn.
The monster immediately ends the Distracted state on itself and gains a +2 bonus to its AC until the start of its next turn as it enters a state of high-speed alertness
Reactions

Reaction Name: Momentary Lapse
Description: When the monster is hit by an attack or fails a saving throw, it can momentarily forget its physical presence in time. The monster rolls a d20. On a 10 or higher, the monster takes no damage from the attack or succeeds on the saving throw regardless of the roll. It then teleports up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.

Description

The Attention Shifter is a twitchy, prismatic monstrosity of the Feywild that serves as a living manifestation of a mind in constant flux. Shimmering with a frantic aura, it is never truly still; its multi-limbed form blurs as if it exists in multiple seconds simultaneously. Unlike predators that hunt for sustenance, it seeks stimulation, drawn to the intense emotions and complex strategies of adventurers like a moth to a flickering flame.
Witnesses describe the creature as a whirlwind of "unfinished business." It may begin a lethal strike only to stop mid-swing to inspect a shiny coin, leaving it vulnerable—until its Hyper-Focus triggers, transforming it into a relentless engine of destruction aimed at a single soul. In combat, its presence generates mental static that inflicts "Time Blindness" on its prey, making seconds feel like hours and causing disciplined mages to forget incantations mid-sentence
