Traits

Aura of the Tyrant. Aezorim radiates an aura of freezing mis in a 20 ft. radius. Players/creatures within his aura at the start of his turn must succeed on a DC15 Con. save or take 1d4 cold damage and have their speed reduced to 15 ft. until the end of the turn. When bloodied, the aura has a 10 ft. radius, and save lowered to DC12.

Emerald Gaze. Each player/creature that Aezorim can see at the start of their turn must succeed on a DC13 Wis. save or take on frightened condition for duration of their turn.

  • Ability Checks and Attacks Affected. You have Disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while the source of fear is within line of sight.
  • Can't Approach. You can’t willingly move closer to the source of fear.

Sovereign of the Peak. While standing on ice or stone, Aezorim has advantage on Strength and Constitution saves, and if Aezorim has not taken fire damage in the last round of combat, he regains 5 hit points. If he has taken fire damage within the most recent round of combat, this trait is suppressed.

Actions

Frost Rend. Melee Spell Attack: +5 to hit, reach 15 ft. one target. Hit: 8 (1d8+3) cold damage. Target must succeed on a DC12 Con save or be restrained by ice until the start of Aezorim's next turn.

Emerald Breath. Breath attack impacting all creatures in 30 ft. cone. DC13 Con save. On failure, 2d6+2 piercing damage. On success, half damage.

Bonus Actions

Mistbound Step. Aezorim partially dissolves into mist and reforms nearby. Aezorim moves up to 15 feet to a space he can see. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks and ignores any difficult terrain such as ice, snow, or stone.

Reactions

Aezorim's Rebuke. When struck, the mountain answers. When Aezorim takes melee damage, the attacker must succeed on a DC10 Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 cold damage. Once bloodied, Aezorim is no longer able to take this reaction.

Description

Aezorim, the Emerald Tyrant is a towering elemental of ice and stone, his form shaped into a cruel, upright silhouette layered in jagged plates of frost, like living armor. Curved horns of translucent ice sweep back from his skull, while long, bony fingers taper into icicle-like claws. His emerald eyes burn with a cold, watchful intelligence, piercing mist and shadow alike, and his movements blur between solid mass and rolling mist, as though the mountain itself is choosing where he stands. Wherever Aezorim lingers, the air grows bitter and heavy, frost creeps across stone and steel, and the ever-present mist swirls, commanded by his will alone.
