Xiao, The Maiden of Iron

Legendary Resistance (1/Day). If Xiao fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.

Fervor. Xiao as the Director of the Southern Branch of the Liu Association Section 1 has proved her strength many times over, and thus has gained a certain amount of resilience with her physical body. Thus, she has resistance to both fire and nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing and slashing attacks, as well as an immunity to the frightened condition.

Force of a Wildfire. When an opponent is hit by Xiao with some melee attacks, they gain 1 stack of Burn. Targets lose one level of burn at the end of their turn. The stats for Burn are as follows:

• Burn I. Target takes 2 fire damage at the start of their turn.
• Burn II. Target takes 2 fire damage at the start of their turn, and every time they make an attack or cast a leveled spell (once per turn).
• Burn III. Target takes 3 fire damage at the start of their turn, and every time they make an attack or cast a leveled spell (once per turn).
• Burn IV. Target takes 4 fire damage at the start of their turn, and every time they make an attack or cast a leveled spell (once per turn), or half as much with a cantrip. Additionally, take 2 fire damage for every 10ft moved (excluding teleportation and flying).
• Burn V. Target takes 5 fire damage at the start of their turn, and every time they make an attack or cast a leveled spell (once per turn), or half as much with a cantrip (rounded down). Additionally, take 3 fire damage for every 10ft moved (excluding teleportation and flying), and attacks are made at disadvantage. Finally, at the end of the targets turn, their Burn level is lowered to Burn III instead of decreasing by 1.

When the maximum stack of Burn has been met, the target instead immediately takes 5 fire damage for every additional stack of Burn that was supposed to be added. Additionally, when the Lesser Restoration spell is used, up to 2 stacks of Burn are removed (with an additional stack per level), and Greater Restoration removes all stacks of Burn.

Furious Fire Rending the Skies. Xiao has advantage on her first attack roll of each turn. Additionally, when Xiao drops to half HP or lower for the first time during a combat, she gains advantage on all attack rolls until the end of her next turn (does not double advantage stack with the first half of the trait).

Hugging Fire, Sitting on Brushwood. When a creature takes fire damage after an attack action from Xiao, she may choose do deal an additional 10 fire damage to that creature (once per turn).

Pú Láo (E.G.O Manifested). Upon activating her Mythic Action [Shimmering], all creatures concentrating on a spell within 30ft. of Xiao must make a CON saving throw DC 20, or lose concentration.

Reverse Scale (E.G.O Manifested). At the start of her turn, Xiao may choose to take 20 fire damage (which ignores resistances and immunities). If she does, she gains the following bonuses until the end of her turn:

• She has advantage on all melee attacks
• Her melee attacks deal an additional 2d10 fire damage

Xiao may use this ability as many times as she desires, however each subsequent usage adds an additional 20 fire damage she takes. If using [Reverse Scale] would reduce Xiao to 0 hit points, it instead would reduce her to 1 hit point instead (once per day).

Multiattack. Xiao makes a total of three melee attacks in a turn, first one [Frontal Assault] and [Fiery Dragon Slash], and one additional attack action from the choices below.

• After [Shimmering] has been activated (E.G.O manifested), Xiao makes one [Fiery Dragon Slash] and [Jīn Ní], and one additional option from the choices below.

Frontal Assault. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10ft.,1 target. Hit: 22 (3d10 + 6) slashing damage. Targets must make a STR saving throw DC 16 or be knocked prone. Additionally, Xiao may move up to 10 ft. as part of the attack to reach her target when attacking without provoking an opportunity attack.

Fiery Dragon Slash. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 10ft.,1 target. Hit: 17 (2d10 + 6) slashing damage and 5 (1d10) fire damage. The target also gains 1 stack of Burn.

Jīn Ní (E.G.O Manifested Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 10ft.,1 target. Hit: 30 (4d10 + 6) slashing damage and 11 (2d10) fire damage. The target also gains 2 stacks of Burn.

Single Point Stab. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10ft.,1 target. Hit: 22 (3d10 + 6) piercing damage and 11 (2d10) fire damage. If the target already has 1+ Burn stack, [Single Point Stab] deals an additional 1d10 fire damage. Before she makes the attack, Xiao may choose to either:

• add an additional +5 to hit 
• deal an additional 2d10 piercing

After the attack, the target gains 2 stacks of Burn, or 1 stack if they already has 1+ Burn stack.

Emotional Turbulence. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 15ft., up to 3 targets in range. Hit: 11 (1d10 + 6) slashing damage and 5 (1d10) fire damage. The target also gains 3 Burn. For each additional target after the first, Xiao applies one less Burn (1 creature = 3 burn stacks, 2 creatures = 2 burn stacks each, 3 creatures = 1 burn stack each).

Raging Storm: Love. Xiao sweeps her blade in a devastating arc of flames. All creatures within a 20ft. radius must make a DEX saving throw DC 20, or take 44 (8d10) fire damage and gain 3 stacks of Burn, or half as much damage and 2 stacks of Burn on a successful save. If the target on a success already has 1+ stacks of Burn, they gain only 1 stack of Burn instead.

Tāo Tiè (E.G.O Manifested Only) (2/Day). Xiao in her self destructive nature, after manifesting her E.G.O, engulfs both her and her surroundings in raging flames. All creatures within a 30ft. radius must make a DEX saving throw DC 21, or take 55 (10d10) fire damage and gain 3 stacks of Burn, or half as much damage and 2 stacks of Burn on a successful save. However, the following prerequisites and conditionals are in place:

• To use [Tāo Tiè], Xiao must have had activated [Reverse Scale] first (she does not gain any of the bonuses granted by the trait, but still takes the fire damage).
• If [Tāo Tiè] was already used this combat, Xiao takes an additional Y20 fire damage, where Y is equal to how many times after the first that Xiao has used [Tāo Tiè] (ignores resistances and immunities).
• After [Reverse Scale] has been used, Xiao can choose to activate it again (doesn't stack onto the subsequent uses condition) to deal an additional 1d10 fire damage with her attack. She may do this up to 3 times in a turn, for a maximum of 60 self inflicted fire damage and an additional 3d10 fire damage to targets.

Fiery Waltz (2/Day). Xiao may move up to 20ft. of her movement without provoking opportunity attacks (can be combined with [Frontal Assault]). After [Shimmering] is activated, she loses the ability to use [Fiery Waltz] as a bonus action.

Inner Ardor. If targeted by a melee or spell attack, Xiao braces herself and prepares to counter. She may choose one of the following options:

• Add a +2 bonus to her AC until the start of her next turn, potentially causing attacks to miss
• Add a +5 bonus to her AC for the one attack, potentially causing the attack to miss
• Add a +2 bonus to hit on her next attack roll

Xiao can take a total of 4 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. She regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.

Fiery Waltz (1 Action). Xiao may move up to 20ft. of her movement without provoking opportunity attacks.

Frontal Assault (2 Actions). Xiao makes one [Frontal Assault] attack.

Single Point Stab (3 Actions). Xiao makes one [Single Point Stab] attack. 

Emotional Turbulence (E.G.O Manifested Only) (3 Actions). Xiao makes one [Emotional Turbulence] attack.

Shimmering. Upon reaching 0 hit points for the first time, Xiao regains 1 hit point and is immune to all damage until the start of her next turn. Upon initiative reaching her, Xiao gains the following bonuses:

• Heals her maximum HP
• Gains 100 temp hit points (expire at the end of combat)
• Base AC is now set at 21
• Resets all status effects on herself
• Gains double resistance to fire damage (taking only 1/3 instead of 1/2 damage)
• Activates the [Reverse Scale] trait
• Is able to start making the [Jīn Ní] and [Tāo Tiè] actions
• Is able to start making the [Emotional Turbulence] legendary action
