Predatory Instincts.
Has advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the Vyrathi’s allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.
Blood-Fueled Aggression.
Deals an extra 5 (1d10) damage on melee weapon attacks against creatures that are missing any of their hit points.
Combat Tactics
Rust-Red Vyrathi Reavers charge directly into the thickest fighting, focusing on already-wounded foes and refusing to disengage. They coordinate instinctively, surrounding prey and tearing it down through sheer aggression.
Multiattack.
Makes two melee attacks, choosing from its great axe or bite attacks.
Great Axe.
Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 13 (1d12 + 7) slashing damage.
Bite.
Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 11 (1d8 + 7) piercing damage.
Rending Advance.
After hitting a creature with a melee attack, the War-Blood Vyrathi can move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
Bloodcurdling Display
The War-Blood Vyrathi lets out a guttural roar, baring blood-slicked fangs and beating its weapon against its chest.
Each enemy of the Vyrathi’s choice within 10 feet that can see or hear it must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of the Vyrathi until the end of the Vyrathi’s next turn.
A creature that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to this Vyrathi’s Bloodcurdling Display for the next 24 hours.
Savage Retaliation.
When a creature within 5 feet of the War-Blood Vyrathi hits it with a melee attack, the Vyrathi makes one melee attack (bite or weapon) against that creature.
Description
The Rust-Red skinned, most violent variant of the Vyrathi species. They excel at pack tactics and are apex, humanoid predators who have evolved, through pacts with otherworldly beings, to become more sentient and less feral.
However, once a Vyrathi feels threatened, the pure, unrivaled aggression and bloodlust from it's past lives comes forth. This is most prevalent within the War-Blood strain of Vyrathi.
The only way to stop a Vyrathi from attacking is to kill it.
Cutting or damaging the braids that adorn the head are the utmost form of disrespect to the Vyrathi.
