Shadowy Form. The Atrophy's shadowy form allows it to be immune to all damage types except radiant and psychic while within dim light or darker.
Natural Light Sensitivity. When exposed to direct natural light (i.e. such as daylight, sunlight, fire light, or spells that mimic them) the Atrophy's immunities become regular damage and its regular damages become vulnerabilities.
Gluttonous Drive. The Atrophy will always move towards and attack the creature with the highest stat within its preceptive range.
Atrophic Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage. After taking damage the target creature makes a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a fail, they have disadvantage on making a DC 18 Constitution saving throw. On this fail, the target creature's highest stat is reduced by 1. If this causes the creature's modifier to decrease, the Atrophy recovers health equal to the previous modifier.
Shove. +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one or two targets. If the creature(s) do not have the highest stat within the immediate vicinity, the Atrophy pushes said creature(s) 15 ft. away, clearing a path for itself to move towards the creature with the highest stat.

Rumored to be the accidental creation of a failed experiment, the Atrophy wanders the world in search of vitality, stealing it in an attempt to quench its insatiable hunger. The Atrophy's body is shadow in physical form, wisps flaring out like smokey tendrilic arms and hands. No one truly knows when or even how these monstrosities came into being but based on the sparse written accounts and archaeological evidence, scholars conclude that they made their first appearance sometime during the Third Era during the Age of Enlightenment. Why something so vile was even conspired within such a time of peace and inspiration remains to be seen. Academics hypothesize that the Atrophy may have been devised by an unknown occult, one that worshipped the Daemons or the beings of the Negative Energy Planes. Whether intentional or not remains pure conjecture.
