Autumn Archfey Infusion. Aurelthion is considered both a dragon and a fey for effects and spells. Fey creatures of his choice within 120 feet have advantage on saving throws.
Season of Letting Go. Creatures within 60 feet of Aurelthion have disadvantage on saving throws against necrotic damage and charm effects.
Branch-Wrought Wings. Opportunity attacks against Aurelthion are made with disadvantage. As a bonus action, he can shed a storm of glowing autumn leaves, lightly obscuring the area within 30 feet until the start of his next turn.
Topaz Entropy. When Aurelthion deals necrotic damage, the target’s speed is reduced by 10 feet until the end of its next turn (stacking).
Legendary Resistance (4/Day). If Aurelthion fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.
Unusual Nature. Aurelthion doesn’t require food or drink.
Multiattack. Aurelthion makes three attacks: one with his bite and two with his claws, or two claws and one tail attack.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target.
Hit: 34 (4d12 + 9) piercing damage plus 18 (4d8) necrotic damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 26 (4d8 + 9) slashing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 25 ft., one target.
Hit: 30 (4d10 + 9) bludgeoning damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 25 Strength save or be knocked prone.
🍂 Breath of the Gilded Fall (Recharge 5–6). Aurelthion exhales a cone of golden-yellow necrotic wind mixed with swirling autumn leaves in a 120-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a DC 25 Constitution saving throw. Failure: 99 (18d10) necrotic damage, and the creature gains 1 level of exhaustion. Success: Half damage and no exhaustion. Creatures reduced to 0 HP crumble into leaf-strewn husks, their bodies briefly blooming with fall colors before fading.
Change Shape. Aurelthion magically transforms into any creature that is Medium or Small, while retaining its game statistics (other than its size). This transformation ends if the greatwyrm is reduced to 0 hit points or uses a bonus action to end it.
Psychic Step. Aurelthion magically teleports to an unoccupied space it can see within 60 feet of it.
Aurelthion can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below.
Leafstorm. Aurelthion whips his wings, sending razor-edged leaves outward. Each creature within 20 ft. must succeed on a DC 25 Dex save or take 21 (6d6) necrotic damage.
Twilight Drift. Aurelthion moves up to half his flying speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Fey Withering (Costs 2 Actions). One creature within 120 ft. must succeed on a DC 25 Wisdom save or be charmed until the end of its next turn and take 27 (6d8) necrotic damage.
King of the Final Harvest.
When Aurelthion is reduced to 0 HP, his body explodes into a cyclone of glowing leaves and fey magic. He regains 300 HP, and the battlefield becomes Eternal Autumn.
Eternal Autumn Effects:
-
The ground becomes difficult terrain of leaves and roots
-
Enemies take 14 (4d6) necrotic damage at the start of their turns
-
Aurelthion’s Breath recharges immediately
While this trait is active, he gains one additional legendary action per round.
Description
Lore
Topaz dragons already embody entropy — the slow erosion of all things. But Aurelthion went further.
Long ago, this greatwyrm wandered into the Twilight Groves, a liminal forest where the Feywild bleeds into the Material Plane each autumn. There, an ancient Autumn Archfey — a being of harvest, rot, nostalgia, and endings — forged a pact not of servitude, but of shared philosophy.
Autumn is not death.
It is beautiful decline.
Aurelthion was infused with fey power, his crystalline topaz scales shifting to hues of amber, gold, rust, and blood-red. His wings transformed into vast, gnarled tree-branch pinions, covered in eternally falling leaves that glow with necrotic gold light.
Where he flies, forests turn to fall — even in midsummer.
Appearance
-
Massive topaz greatwyrm, scales faceted like gemstones stained with autumn light

-
Leaves of gold, red, and orange constantly fall from his wings — dissolving into necrotic motes before touching the ground
-
