Paragon Vault: When climbing, freerunning or jumping, the Bodyguard can perform any of these without an action, and you can take a special action called a Paragon Vault. You can perform this action when you must cross an obstacle while doing something else, such as attacking or passing an object to another creature. You must take this action before you take your next action to climb, freerun or jump and you can take your action right after, or during your climb, freerun or jump. If you are attacked after you prepare this action, you immediatley dodge.

Actions

Multiattack. The veteran makes two Vex Blade attacks. If it has a pistol drawn, it can also make a single pistol attack.

Dual Pistols. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 10/40 ft., two targets. Hit: 7 (2d8 + 3) piercing damage.

Vex Blade. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage.

Line Rifle. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 100/400 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d10 + 1) fire damage and 6 (1d10 + 1) force damage.

Power Jump. The Bodyguard must take this action before making any jump. His standing jump is 20 ft. and his running jump is 30 ft.

Armor. The Bodyguard gains resistance to non-magical piercing, slashing and bludgeoning damage.

Cloaking. The Bodyguard becomes invisible for 2 turns, or until they attack or interact with objects.

Vex Warp. The Bodyguard warps up to 15 feet in any direction it can see.

Reactions

Phase Flash: When the Bodyguard is hit with a melee attack, it can make 3 Vex Blade attacks aginst the creature, and only needs to pierce armor once. If it fails, it can roll for the second attack, and if it fails all three, he makes a fourth attack that always hits.

Description

Bodyguards of King Desmond are professional fighters and athletes that take up arms to fight in his name to guard settlements on Nessus. While he commands an entire planet of Vex, he still relies on these able men to protect him when those bots aren't available. They all have special chips implanted into their armor thet enable them to have near superhuman reflexes and grant limited bursts of speed, strength, and stamina.
