Amorphous. The Lustrous Sludge can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Lustrous Bane. A creature affected by this bane, Must pass the following checks everytimes they attempt one of the following actions.
- Attack: The creature must make a DC 13 Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check or drop what it is holding in both hands and lose the action for the turn. Any extra attacks are also lost.
- Move or Dash: The creature must make a DC 13 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check or fall prone and lose the rest of its movement for the turn.
- Cast a spell: If the spell requires a material component, the creature must make a DC 13 Dexterity (Sleight of hand) check or lose the spell as the material drops to the floor.
Spider Climb. The Lustrous Sludge can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Density Shift (Solid). The Lustrous Sludge can shift its weight around and deals an extra 3d6 bludgeoning damage to its slam attack. This damage has already been accounted for, in the slam attack.
Hurl itself. If the lustrous sludge moves at least 10 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a slam attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the lustrous sludge can make one bounce attack against it as a bonus action.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (4d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage. The target is also cursed by the lustrous bane until it is cured by anything that can cure curses. Like the Remove Curse spell.
Bounce. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.
Density Shift (Liquid). The Lustrous Sludge halves the damage that it takes from an attack that hits it. The Lustrous Sludge must be able to see the attacker.

Posted Aug 18, 2024Pretty cool, man! I havent rlly seen very many creative monsters like this! Mainly because most of the monsters (as far as ive seen) either have random symbols at the beginning of their name to appear first on the creature list, or they seem to copy or repeat a concept from another creature. This monster is cool, and im glad theres more creativity on this platform!
