False Stillness. While the urpía remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a dead tree or large branch. A creature must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom (Perception) check to notice it before it moves or sings.
Vigilant Gaze. While no creature is looking directly at the urpía, it has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and does not provoke opportunity attacks when it moves. If two or more creatures are looking directly at the urpía, it cannot use its Desvelo Song trait.
Desvelo Song. The urpía emits a hollow, nocturnal lament. Each creature within 300 feet that can hear the song must succeed on a DC 11 Wisdom saving throw or be affected for 1 minute. On a failure, a creature is frightened of the urpía. While frightened in this way, the creature’s speed is reduced to 0 at the start of its turn. At the end of each of its turns, the creature can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success. On a failure by 5 or more, the creature is instead paralyzed by fear until the end of its next turn.
A creature that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to this urpía’s Desvelo Song for 24 hours.
Night Hunter. The urpía has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that is frightened or paralyzed.
Multiattack. The urpía makes two attacks: one with its claws and one with its beak.
Claw. Melee Attack Roll: +3, reach 5 ft. Hit: 6 (2d4 + 1) Slashing damage.
Beak. Melee Attack Roll: +3, reach 5 ft. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 1) Piercing damage.
Silent Glide. When a frightened creature moves or attempts to move, the urpía can move up to half its flying speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
