New Condition: Terrified
Bogeys have a knack for instilling lasting fear in people. Mechanically, this ability is represented by a new condition Called Terrified. Many Bogey species traits and feats can give A creature the Terrified condition and allow bogeys to interact with Terrified creatures in specific ways. Being Terrified is a sign of lasting mental impressions that can recur later, rather than a condition a character is Experiencing in the moment, so it can’t be removed by effects That would remove conditions, such as the Calm Emotions or Greater Restoration spell. Removing the Terrified condition before its duration expires typically requires receiving 1 hour of counseling and a successful Wisdom (Medicine) or Charisma (Persuasion) check. Use the DC of the effect that inflicted the Terrified condition to determine how difficult the condition is to remove. If no DC is listed, use a DC equal to 8 plus the bogey’s Charisma modifier and Proficiency Bonus.
