Traits

Nimble Escape. The Ash Reaver can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of its turns.

Skirmisher. When an enemy ends its turn within 5 feet of the Ash Reaver, the Ash Reaver can move up to half its speed as a reaction without provoking opportunity attacks.

Steady Aim. As a bonus action, the Ash Reaver gives itself advantage on the next attack roll it makes on the current turn. After using this trait, the Ash Reaver’s speed becomes 0 until the end of the turn.

Mounted Predator. While mounted and not incapacitated, the Ash Reaver has advantage on melee attack rolls against unmounted creatures smaller than its mount. If the Ash Reaver is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw for half damage, it instead takes no damage on a success and half damage on a failure. If the Ash Reaver’s mount is forced to make a Dexterity saving throw, the Ash Reaver can cause the mount to succeed instead. This trait functions only while the Ash Reaver is mounted.

Actions

Multiattack. The Ash Reaver makes two attacks with its dagger or blowgun.

Dagger. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d4 + 6) piercing damage.

Blowgun. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 25/100 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1 piercing damage plus poison).

Poisoned Dart. The target hit by the blowgun must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or take 21 (6d6) poison damage and be poisoned for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Bonus Actions

Cunning Action. On its turn, the Ash Reaver can take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.

Reactions

Uncanny Dodge. When the Ash Reaver is hit by an attack, it halves the attack’s damage against it.

Description

Ash Reavers are elite goblin predators forged in scorched battlefields and ash-choked Badlands. They fight with ruthless efficiency, exploiting mobility, poisoned weaponry, and relentless hit-and-run tactics. Ash Reavers excel at isolating targets, bleeding enemies through attrition, and withdrawing before retaliation is possible. When mounted, they become apex skirmishers—harrying larger foes with precision strikes while their mounts absorb the brunt of incoming threats. Ash Reavers thrive in chaos and favour ambush warfare over prolonged engagements.
