Traits

Thickhide Plating. The Ash Reaver Warbeast’s stone-like hide grants it resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Beast of Burden. The Ash Reaver Warbeast counts as one size larger when determining its carrying capacity and the weight it can push, drag, or lift.

Controlled Mount. While mounted by a goblin Ash Reaver, the Ash Reaver Warbeast acts on the rider’s initiative and can take the Dash, Disengage, or Attack action on the rider’s turn.

Relentless Frame. If the Ash Reaver Warbeast is reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, it drops to 1 hit point instead. This trait can’t be used again until the Ash Reaver Warbeast finishes a long rest.

Actions

Multiattack. The Ash Reaver Warbeast makes two Slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Crushing Charge. If the Ash Reaver Warbeast moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a Slam attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 14 (4d6) bludgeoning damage and must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Bonus Actions

Rampant Surge. The Ash Reaver Warbeast moves up to half its speed toward a hostile creature it can see. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.

Reactions

Stonehide Brace. When the Ash Reaver Warbeast is hit by an attack, it reduces the damage by 7 (2d6).

Description

Ash Reaver Warbeasts are massive, hairless quadrupeds bred for war and domination. Moving with the hunched, powerful gait of a great ape, their thick, stone-like hides resemble weathered rock more than flesh. These creatures exist to serve goblin Ash Reavers as living engines of momentum—charging through enemy lines, absorbing punishment, and delivering crushing blows. Brutal but dim, Warbeasts rely on strength and conditioning rather than instinct or cunning, responding best to force, pain, and domination.
