Traits

Dynamic Rhythm. The battle dancer sets the rhythm of the battle, using it to strengthen his attacks. Depending on the number of times he is attacked in a turn, he will gain an extra bonus to hit, and half of that number to his physical damage rolls.

Magnum Opus. Once per round, the Battle Dancer rolls 1d6+2, which would be the individual limit of all actions for everyone in combat, including movement, bonus actions and reactions. Exceeding this limit would activate the reaction Messy beat. This applies to the battle dancer himself.

Actions

Graceful Efficiency. If the Battle Dancer takes the attack action, he rolls 1d20 and gets to attack twice if the result is greater than 10. He attacks three times if a 20 is rolled. All actions under Graceful Efficiency  are counted as one action to Magnum Opus,  unless a 1 is rolled, in which case the Battle Dancer skips his turn and two actions are counted towards Magnum Opus. The Battle Dancer is also able to throw a dart per turn, though it counts to his action limit for Magnum Opus.

Stab. Rapier (+1): +3, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage.

Precision. Darts: +3 to hit, range 20/60 ft., 1 target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage.

Bonus Actions

Viva Voce. The battle dancer taunts a player and if they fail a wisdom check (15), the player falls for the bait, attacking the battle dancer and dealing half of the lowest damage possible (rounded up), counting as an "action" that adds to the player's Magnum Opus count. This will not contribute to the Battle Dancer's Magnum Opus count, unless the player succeeds the wisdom check (15)

Reactions

Messy beat. Should a character exceed the limit set by Magnum Opus, they would roll their saves at disadvantage and obtain one debuff determined by a d4 for one round (two when applied to the Battle Dancer). These debuffs are:

1. rolling at disadvantage to the first save that character does after getting the Messy beat affliction

2. take 2d4 force damage

3. Getting the "Frightened" condition

4. -1 to their Magnum Opus count the following turn

Description

Formally humans kidnapped by a mysterious force in the UnderDark, these battle dancers go through rigorous training in both fighting with a rapier and having the grace of a dancer, being a force of strength and speed used to subdue their enemies. They work as hired mercenaries for their org, with conditioning from drugs and torture ensuring obedience and absolute control. They specialize in assassinations, and being bodyguards and spies.
