Companion Bond

The dragon is bound to its rider. The rider can use a bonus action on their turn to let the dragon take a full turn immediately after the rider. If the rider doesn’t command the dragon, it makes one attack against the nearest hostile creature it can see at the end of the rider’s turn. When the dragon uses a reaction, the rider must also use their reaction, except for opportunity attacks, which the dragon can make normally.

Crimson Feast

When the dragon hits with Bloodfang Bite, it can, once per turn, deal additional blood magic damage and feed on its victim. The target takes an extra
(1d8) necrotic damage,
and the dragon gains temporary hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt.

Actions

Multiattack

The dragon makes two attacks: Bloodrend Claw and Bloodfang Bite.

Bloodfang Bite

Blood Swoop (Recharge 5–6)

Description

Bloodwings are predatory companion dragons born from battle-scarred lands and ancient blood magic. Their dark scales and crimson wing membranes give them a permanently bloodstained appearance. In combat, they strike with brutal precision, raking foes with claws before diving in to feed on open wounds. When bonded to a rider, a Bloodwing is fiercely loyal and instinctively follows commands, circling the battlefield and plunging into the fray at its master’s signal.
