Description
The creature emerges from the ashes like a lingering memory of nature.
At first glance, it evokes a large wolf but its anatomy is subtly and profoundly flawed. Its body is too elongated, its limbs too flexible, as if its form had been stretched by some alien force.
Its once-thick fur is now charred and matted, transformed into charcoal-black plates bristling with rigid spikes. Between these plates, the skin is split with incandescent fissures, revealing a reddish-orange glow, like lava beneath a cooled crust. These cracks pulse slowly, to the rhythm of an invisible heartbeat.
Its legs are long and abnormally articulated. With each step, its claws leave smoking trails, and the ground crackles briefly beneath their touch. When it moves, it doesn't seem to run: it glides, carried by the heat emanating from it, almost silently despite its size. Its head is narrow and angular. The jaws open wider than they should, revealing irregular, blackened fangs, some of which appear to have been melted and then reforged. Inside its mouth, there is no saliva—only a burning smoke that escapes with each breath.
Its eyes are two incandescent foci, without pupils or sclera, mere orbs of fixed fire. They never blink. When the creature freezes, it seems to be assessing, not with intelligence, but with a cold, mechanical, predatory logic.
Around it, the air trembles slightly. Ashes are drawn toward its body, swirling in its wake. When it leaps, a shower of sparks erupts beneath its paws, as if the earth itself refuses to bear its weight.
There are no symbols, no visible marks of dominance on it. No collar. No chain. No master.
And when she dies—if she dies—her body does not collapse.
It disintegrates, fragmenting into hot ashes and dying embers, as if her form had never been anything more than a parenthesis tolerated by reality.
