Actions

Face Hug. Strength Saving Throw: DC 14, one creature within 10 feet of the Zygorat. Failure: The Zygorat attaches to the target's face. While attached, the target has the Blinded condition and cannot speak. The Zygorat moves with the target and cannot use Face Leap again until this attachment ends. A creature within 5 feet of it, can use its Action to make a DC 14 Strength (Athletics) check to remove the Zygorat.

Strength Saving Throw: DC 14, one creature the Zygorat is currently attached to. Faliure: The target takes 3 (1d6) piercing damage. Success: The target takes no damage, and the Zygorat is detached, landing in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the target. The target repeats the saving throw at the start of each of its turns that the Zygorat remains attached.

Acid Spit. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 12, one creature the Zygorat can see within 20 feet (or two creatures within 5 feet of each other). Failure: (2d6) acid damage. Success: Half damage.

Reactions

Explode.Trigger: The Zygorat’s hit points are reduced to 5 or lower. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 14, all creatures within 10 feet of the Zygorat. Failure: A creature takes 7 (3d4) acid damage. Success: A creature takes 3 (1d6) acid damage. The Zygorat is then reduced to 0 hit points and is destroyed.

Description

The Zygorat is an undead creature residing in planes of existence containing a high level of negative energy. However high level undead and necromancers will often summon them to the material plane to be used for their means. Zygorats that have escaped their undead masters by means of their masters death often attempt to find overgrown watery biomes were they can be hidden such as swamps. Then in a battle they tend to attack and hold onto the face of their target. They often travel in packs of 2-4. When a Zygorat ends up in the material plane and feasts on enough high level humoids it can become a Zygorat queen capable of birthing more Zygorats.
