Amorphous
The Mire can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Magic Devourer
Whenever a creature casts a spell within 30 ft. of the Mire, the caster must succeed on a DC 15 spellcasting ability check.
On a failure:
-
The spell still resolves,
-
But the Mire regains 10 hit points.
If the spell is 3rd level or lower and fails the check by 5 or more, the spell fizzles and the slot is expended.
Alchemical Reversion Aura (10 ft.)
Magical items within 10 ft. of the Mire lose their magical properties while inside the aura.
Nonmagical refined materials begin degrading:
-
Steel becomes brittle (weapons deal –1 damage while in aura).
-
Alchemical substances separate.
-
Potions spoil after 1 round in the aura.
Artifact-level items are unaffected.
Symbiotic Hunger
If a creature is reduced to 0 HP within 20 ft., the Mire can use its reaction to absorb life force and regain 20 HP.
Multiattack
The Mire makes two Pseudopod attacks.
Pseudopod
Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target
Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage.
If the target is holding a magical item, it must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or that item becomes mundane until the end of the Mire’s next turn.
Disassemble (Recharge 5–6)
The Mire targets one non-artifact magical item within 30 ft.
The item must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw (use wielder’s save bonus if carried).
On a failure:
-
The item loses all magical properties for 1 minute.
-
If the item is made of refined metal, it partially separates (AC bonus reduced by 1, weapon damage reduced by 1 die step) for the duration.
Rewind Matter (1/Day)
The Mire targets a 10-foot square of floor or structure.
Refined materials revert:
-
Stone bricks crumble into loose rock.
-
Steel beams become raw iron.
-
Wood panels revert into warped lumber.
Creatures in the area must make a DC 15 Dexterity save or fall prone and take 14 (4d6) bludgeoning damage.
Death Burst – Regression Wave
When reduced to 0 HP, the Mire collapses inward and releases a pulse of unstable reversion.
All creatures within 20 ft. must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw.
On a failure:
-
One non-artifact magical item they are wearing or carrying becomes mundane for 24 hours.
-
They take 14 (4d6) necrotic damage.
On a success:
-
Half damage, no item effect.
The area becomes slick with inert black residue for 1 hour.
Can attempt to hide as a bonus action
Harden: Can use its reaction to add +4 to its AC as it becomes solid.
