All-Consuming. Akuma represents the end of all things. If Akuma is not standing or in contact with a burning object at the start of it's turn, it takes 39 (6d12) damage directly to it's hitpoints that cannot be reduced in any way. In addition, whenever a creature set aflame by darkfire is reduced to 0 hitpoints, the creature's soul is destroyed by Akuma and it regains hitpoints equal to that creature's maximum hitpoints. Also, some of Akuma's actions consume Akuma's own energy, and cost health to use.
Fire Aura. At the end of each of Akuma's turns, each creature in a 5-foot Emanation originating from Akuma takes 13 (3d8) Fire damage.
Legendary Resistance (2/Day in This Form). If Akuma fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Magic Resistance. Akuma has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Incinerate (40 Health). Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 20, each creature in an Area of Effect of Akuma's choice originating from a point within 60 ft. Failure: 44 (8d10) Fire damage. Success: Half damage. Success or Failure: Flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried start burning with darkfire.
Burn (50 Health). Constitution Saving Throw: DC 20, a creature burning with darkfire within 60 ft. Failure: 44 (8d10) Fire damage and 28 (8d6) Necrotic damage, and the damage reduces the creature's maximum health, and Akuma regains health equal to the damage done. Success: Half damage, and the creature's maximum health is not reduced and Akuma does not heal the damage dealt.
Blazestep (15 Health). Akuma teleports up to 60ft to an unoccupied space it can see. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 20, each creature in a 10ft emanation originating from Akuma before and after it teleports. Failure: 10 (4d4) Fire damage. Success: No damage.
Fuel the Flames. Akuma doubles the health cost of it's next action, causing the range and damage of any of it's effects to also double.
Legendary Action Uses: 3. Immediately after another creature's turn, Akuma can expend a use to take one of the following actions. Akuma regains all expended uses at the start of each of their turns.
Blazestep (1 Action). Akuma uses Blazestep.
Fuel the Flames (1 Action). Akuma uses Fuel the Flames.
Incinerate (2 Actions). Akuma uses Incinerate.
Description
A demon of fire, represents the wrath of fire, it's destruction, it's chaos. When the fire god Kagu-Tsutchi was slain by his father Izanagi for burning his mother Izanami to death during his birth, Akuma was created from some of the pieces that remained. It would burn the world to ash just to sate it's endless hunger. Though it remains imprisoned by Mizuhanome, the dragon kami of water, it still exerts it's influence on the world, and attempts to lure the foolish into freeing it.
Darkfire. A creature that fails a save against any of Akuma's attacks is now set aflame with Darkfire. The creature gains the burning condition, which can only be doused by Holy water, Greater Restoration, or similar magic. Creatures burning by darkfire also lose any resistance to Fire damage, and creatures immune to Fire damage instead become resistant.
