Actions

Multiattack. Monkey King makes three attacks: 3 Jin Gu Staff.

Jin Gu Staff. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 23 (2d10 + 12) bludgeoning damage. Monkey King strike with his magical staff. 

Whirling Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 20 ft. radius. Hit: 51 (8d8 + 15) bludgeoning damage. Monkey King spins with his staff on his shoulder hitting every enemy around him.

Dragon Strike. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 45 ft. in a line( 5ft. wide). Hit: 43 (3d10 + 27) bludgeoning damage. If enemy is a dragon +14 to hit, Hit: 87 (6d10 + 54) auto prone when hit. 

Mountain Leap. Ranged Attack: +13 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 24 ( 6d8 ) bludgeoning damage. The enemy must make DC 15 saving throw or knock prone. Monkey King leap to the sky and lands onto his enemy with huge force.

Body Double (Recharge 6): Monkey King summons 2 copies of himself, 30 feet radius around him. Clone are automatically placed last in the initiative. Clones are not a legendary creatures and unable to use Body Double.

Shape Shift. Monkey King can polymorph in to anything. However, he is never able to transform his tail. Reverts to its true form if he dies.

In a new form, Monkey King retains its alignment, hit points, Hit Dice, ability to speak, proficiencies, Legendary Resistance, lair actions, and status, as well as this action. His statistics and capabilities are otherwise replaced by those of the new form, except any class features or legendary actions of that form.

Legendary Actions

Monkey King can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Monkey King regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Phoenix Radiance (Cost 2 Actions). Creature within 10 feet radius receive 1d20 radiant damage. Last for 1 turn. Monkey King's hair turns copper red in color and shine with radiant energy.

Earth Shatter (Costs 2 Actions). Creature within 15 feet radius must make DC 17 Strength saving throw or take 32 ( 8d8 ) force damage and blown 5 feet away from Monkey King. Monkey King smash the ground with his staff creating a powerful shock wave.

Monkey king dwells in a palace from an abandon civilization up in Naushindcal mountain populated with enlightened monkeys.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 18 (losing initiative ties), Monkey king takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects:

  • Cumulonimbus: Strong wind 50 feet radius centered around him. Creatures within the area must make DC 10 Dexterity saving throw, or knock prone and blown 10 feet away.
  • Dragonlord's Gaze: Creatures within 25 feet radius around Monkey King must succeed DC 17 Strength saving throw or stunned. Presence of an evil dragon linger inside Monkey King.

Regional Effects

The region containing a legendary Monkey King’s lair is covered with his magic, which creates the following effects:

  • Thick mist appear 2 miles away from Monkey King's lair making it almost impossible to find.

If the Monkey King dies, these effects fade over the course of 1d4 days.
