Scimitar. Melee Attack Roll: +4, reach 5 ft. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) Slashing damage, plus 2 (1d4) Slashing damage if the attack roll had Advantage.
Shortbow. Ranged Attack Roll: +4, range 80/320 ft. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) Piercing damage, plus 2 (1d4) Piercing damage if the attack roll had Advantage.
Pilgrim-Killer Shot (Recharge 5–6).
If the Bone-Reed Ambusher is hidden from its target or has advantage on the attack roll, it can make a special ranged weapon attack with its shortbow. On a hit, the attack deals its normal shortbow damage plus 2d6 piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or suffer one of the following effects (the ambusher’s choice):
• The target’s speed is reduced by 15 feet until the end of its next turn.
• The target has disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.
After resolving the attack, the Bone-Reed Ambusher may immediately take the Hide action as a bonus action, even if it is only lightly obscured by natural terrain such as reeds, fog, or swamp growth.
