If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the bearelk can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.

Actions

Multiattack: The bearelk makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.

Claws:  Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 14 (2d8+5) slashing damage.

If the target can see the bearelk, it must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or become stunned until the end of the bearelk's next turn. the target can repeat this saving throw if it takes damage or another creature takes an action to shake it out of stuper.

Description

The twisted necrotic energies that permeate through cursed woods can raise undead creatures, mutate existing ones, or even spawn new kinds of abominations, one of which is the infamous bearelk. The appearance of the bearelk matches its name: it has the body of a bear, and the head of a monstrous elk. It is more commonly a scavenger then a predator and may just as likely ignore travelers in the cursed woods as attack them. Bearelks usually move alone, but small groups are not uncommon. the bearelk may appear sedentary and slow-moving to observers, but this slothful appearance will change drastically once the abomination decides to attack. The monstrosity moves with spectacular speed when it charges and will smash into its victim with horrifying force.

Frightful Stare. Those who have encountered the bearelk tell tales of its horrifying stare which seems to mesmerize those who lock eyes with the monster. the bearelk is a rather predictable creature and skilled rangers know how to predict its actions. It will lock eyes with the creature it is planning on attacking, and once it has used its gaze to stun its quarry, it charges with devastating speeds.
