Blighted Blizzard (Recharge 5–6)
Description: The Blizzacorn magically summons a raging storm of blackened snow and razor-edged ice centered on itself. The storm forms a 30-foot-radius sphere that lasts for 1 minute or until the Blizzacorn is incapacitated.
The area is heavily obscured and counts as difficult terrain for creatures other than the Blizzacorn. A creature that starts its turn in the area takes 10 (3d6) cold damage. Nonmagical flames within the area are extinguished.
The Blizzacorn can see normally through this storm.
................................................................
Aura of Despair
Description: An aura of supernatural grief radiates from the Blizzacorn in a 20-foot radius.
Creatures of the Blizzacorn’s choice that start their turn within the aura must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on the next saving throw they make before the start of their next turn. A creature that succeeds on this saving throw is immune to this aura until the start of its next turn.
.................................................................
Corrupted Hooves
Description: The ground within 10 feet of the Blizzacorn becomes slick black ice and infected frost.
The area counts as difficult terrain for creatures other than the Blizzacorn. When a creature other than the Blizzacorn moves within this area, it must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone.
Multiattack: The Blizzacorn makes two Hoof attacks and one Gore attack.
Gore (Horn)
Description: Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) cold damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or take 7 (2d6) necrotic damage at the start of its next turn as corrupted frost spreads through its body.
Hoof: Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 15 (2d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage plus 7 (2d6) cold damage.
Bonus Action: Blizzard Step
The Blizzacorn dissolves into swirling black frost and snow, moving up to 20 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
The space it vacates becomes difficult terrain until the start of its next turn.
This allows the Blizzacorn to reposition during combat, evade melee attackers, or extend its Blighted Blizzard’s area of effect.
Reaction 1: Blizzard Step
Trigger: The Blizzacorn is targeted by an attack.
Description: The Blizzacorn briefly dissolves into swirling snow and moves up to 20 feet without provoking opportunity attacks. If this movement takes it outside the triggering attack’s range, the attack misses.
The space it leaves behind becomes difficult terrain until the start of its next turn.
Reaction 2: Frozen Rebuke
Trigger: A creature within 10 feet hits the Blizzacorn with a melee attack.
Description: When a creature hits the Blizzacorn with a melee attack, the attacker must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or take 10 (3d6) cold damage and have its speed reduced to 0 until the end of its next turn as black ice spreads across its legs.
On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and its speed is not reduced.

Description
Monster Characteristics Description: Once a noble guardian of the frozen peaks, the Blizzacorn protected the mountain passes with gentle snow and guiding auroras. Its crystalline mane chimed like distant bells, and its storms sheltered travelers rather than harmed them.
When its closest companion vanished into the blinding white, grief hollowed the creature’s heart. That sorrow became an opening for the Blight — a creeping corruption of frost and shadow. The mountain itself darkened as black rime spread through the Citadel of Glass, and the Blizzacorn’s once-pure magic twisted into something violent and unforgiving.
Now the skies above its domain churn with relentless blightstorms. Snow falls in jagged shards, winds howl with mournful echoes, and the corrupted unicorn stands at the mountain’s crown — no longer a guardian, but a grieving force of nature.
Despite its fury, fragments of its former self remain. In rare, fleeting moments between storms, it releases a sorrowful cry into the wind — as though still searching for the friend it lost.
Lair and Lair Actions
Lair Description
The Blighted Blizzacorn resides atop the Citadel of Glass, a massive mountain of solid ice and black frost. Its lair is a twisting labyrinth of icy corridors, frozen stalagmites, and sheer cliffs overlooking endless snowfields. The air is filled with howling winds and jagged snowflakes, magically charged by the Blight that corrupted the Blizzacorn.
Travelers who enter the lair feel the chill of despair and hear mournful echoes carried by the wind. Every step is treacherous: floors slick with black ice, sudden crevices, and shifting snow make navigation difficult.
The summit houses a great chamber of shimmering ice, where the Blizzacorn waits, commanding storms and defending its corrupted domain with ruthless efficiency.
Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the Blighted Blizzacorn can take one of the following lair actions:
Ice Spikes Erupt: Jagged black ice spikes burst from the ground in a 20-foot radius around a point the Blizzacorn can see within 60 ft. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or take 13 (3d8) piercing damage and be knocked prone.
Frostwind Gale: A blast of icy wind sweeps through a 30-foot line 10 ft. wide. Each creature in the line must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be pushed 15 feet away and take 10 (3d6) cold damage.
Blinding Snow: Snow and black frost swirl in a 20-foot radius sphere centered on a point the Blizzacorn can see within 60 ft. The area is heavily obscured until the start of the Blizzacorn’s next turn. Creatures starting their turn in the area take 7 (2d6) cold damage.
