Traits

Photosynthesize. If the Blade Lotus is located within sunlight during the start of its turn, it heals 1d8 HP. Additionally, if the Blade Lotus takes any radiant damage, it instead heals the number of hit points it would have taken as damage.

Hydrate. If the Blade Lotus is standing within 1-2 ft deep of freshwater during the start of its turn, it heals 1d8 HP.

Bloodlust. When in combat, the Blade Lotus is under the following effects:

If the Blade Lotus fails to make at least one successful attack on at least one creature on its turn, it takes 1d4 psychic damage at the end of that turn; this effect increases in severity by 1d4 for each turn until a successful attack is made.

If the Blade Lotus makes at least one successful attack on at least two different creatures on its turn, it heals 1d4 HP

If the Blade Lotus succeeds on all attack rolls it makes during a turn, it becomes resistant to piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning damage from nonmagical attacks until the beginning of its next turn.

Actions

Multiattack. The Blade Lotus can make up to six glaive attacks.

Glaive Slice. Glaive Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 12 (1d10 + 7) [Slashing] damage.

Bonus Actions

Lotus Defense. The Blade Lotus readies itself into a defensive posture, increasing its AC by +2 until the beginning of its next turn and allowing it to utilize a special reaction (Lotus Parry). If this bonus action is taken and the Blade Lotus is not attacked at least once before the beginning of its next turn, it will take 1d12 psychic damage at the start of that turn.

Lotus Dash. The Blade Lotus may take the dash action as a bonus action.

Rooted. If the Blade Lotus does not move on its turn and it is standing on fertile soil, it may use a bonus action to root itself into the ground, which will have the following effects while the Blade Lotus remains rooted:

The Blade Lotus' movement speed is reduced to zero; the healing effects of its Photosynthesize and Hydrate traits will be doubled (if they are applicable)

All effects of the Bloodlust trait are disabled

The number of attacks the Blade Lotus may take is halved,

The Blade Lotus has an advantage on any saving throw when a failure would result in being moved; if a creature rolling a d20 test to attempt to move the Blade Lotus, the DC is 20.

If the Blade Lotus is forcefully moved while rooted, it takes 5d4 slashing damage; this would also make it so the Blade Lotus is no longer rooted

The Blade Lotus may use a bonus action to make it so that it is no longer rooted.

Reactions

Lotus Parry. If the Lotus Defense bonus action was taken during the Blade Lotus's last turn, then if an attack roll against it fails, the Blade Lotus may reflect half the damage it would have taken from the failed attack onto a single target within 10 ft.

Lotus Dodge. When a successful attack is made on the Blade Lotus, it may use its reaction not to take the damage from the attack and instead take half as much psychic damage.
