Beast of Burden: The war camel can carry up to 900 pounds on its back. It can also pull or drag up to 1,800 pounds, and has advantage on Strength saving throws.
Wanderer of the Desert: The war camel can travel for 6 months without consuming water. It has a natural fortitude, and as such has advantage on Constitution saving throws.
Beast of War: Trained as a cavalry unit, the camel is ready for any battle with its rider by its side. Once a day, the war camel can give itself an advantage on one Animal Handling check, so long as its rider is within 5 feet of it. This ability cannot be used again until the camel completes a long rest.
Gleaming Steed of the Sands: The camel can wear light, medium, or heavy armor, so long as the armor is designed for its frame. Its AC increases by 2 for leather, by 3 for hide or scale mail, and by 4 for chain mail or plate mail.
Multiattack: The war camel makes two hoof attacks and one bite attack.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d4+5) bludgeoning damage.
Hoof. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d6+5) bludgeoning damage.

Posted Jan 8, 2020This version of the War Camel is mostly the same as the original. I corrected a few errors, most notably the drag weight capacity; the camel should now (correctly) be able to drag 1,800 pounds instead of 4,500 (a ludicrous number which happened because of my confusion with 5e Strength rules.)
