Keen Smell. The bearger has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Multiattack. The bearger makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 2) slashing damage. When a creature takes damage from this attack, they must make a DC 12 Strength check or be knocked prone.
Enraged: When dealt damage, a bearger enters an enraged state and will assault the source or closest foe if the source isn't perceivable. While enraged, all damage is increased by 2, and it gains 6 temporary hit points. It will remain focused on the foe, giving advantage to attackers other than the targeted foe, until that opponent is dropped or no longer perceivable. Should the foe escape perception, the bearger will select a new target within perception that isn't its ally and proceed with that as the new target. Should the foe be dropped, the enraged state ends and any remaining temporary hit points are lost and damage returns to normal.
Description
This bear and honey badger amalgamate creature can be found naturally where chimeric critters occur naturally.
Big, broad and muscular, these beasts move solitary or in pairings. With heinous claws meant for burrowing and swiping, they are intimidating to behold and worse to face. With a vindictive streak a mile wide, it is best to avoid these heavy beasts.
