Traits

Immutable Form. The anhydrut can't shape-shift.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the anhydrut fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. The anhydrut has Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Mirage. Charisma Saving Throw: DC 19, each creature that starts its turn in a 30 ft. Emanation from the anhydrut. Failure: The target can't teleport until the start of its next turn.

Actions

Multiattack. The anhydrut makes three Unerring Pincer attacks.

Unerring Pincer. Melee Attack Roll: automatic hit, reach 10 ft. Hit: 24 Force damageand the target is Restrained by a mound of sand until the start of its next turn. The target or a creature that can touch the target can use an action to make a DC 21 Athletics check, freeing the Restrained target on a success.

Global Warming (Recharge 6). Heat energy emanates from the anhydrut's chest in a 20-foot Sphere. Every creature in that area takes 20 Fire damage and 20 Radiant damage. Each creature that takes any of this damage must succeed on a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw or gain one level of Exhaustion.

Plane Shift (3/Day). The anhydrut casts Plane Shift, requiring no Material components and using Intelligence as the spellcasting ability. The anhydrut can cast the spell normally, or it can cast the spell on an unwilling creature it can see within 60 feet of itself. If it uses the latter option, the targeted creature must succeed on a DC 18 Charisma saving throw or be sent to a teleportation circle in the Hall of Concordance in Sigil.

Reactions

Swirling Sands. Trigger: The anhydrut is hit by a melee attack roll. Response: The anhydrut adds 6 to its AC against that attack, possibly causing it to miss.

Habitat: Desert
