Description

Reclusive territorial predators.  These Iron dragons share little of the intelligence and magical might of their chromatic brethren.  They are lesser dragons, ferrous dragons.

These dragons live in spacious burrows under hills, plains, and forests.  Hording scrap metal sharp rocks and splintered limbs to deter pests that aren't as resilient to these twisted piles of jagged edges as the Iron dragon's own scales.

Their scales are coveted crafting materials.  Creating some of the toughest armor an adventurer could hope to afford, at least, without a master craftsman.  And, as such, they are often hunted by would be dragon slayers.

These dragon slayers certainly face an uphill battle to achieve this though.  These may be lesser dragons, but they are by no means weak.  Hardened wrought iron scales, crushing jaws and slashing claws.  And let us not forget the ever-fearsome breath of cinders, projecting a choking cloud of burning smoke, cinders, and ash.
