Volatile Boulder. As a bonus action, the Berserk Tetsucabra digs up an explosive boulder. While holding the boulder, the Tetsucabra has half-cover (+2 AC) against attacks from the front. If the boulder takes 15 damage or if the Tetsucabra takes 30 damage in a single turn, the boulder detonates. The detonation deals 14 (4d6) fire damage to the Tetsucabra and every creature within 5 feet of it.
Standing Leap. The Tetsucabra's long jump is up to 30 feet and its high jump is up to 15 feet, with or without a running start.
Flee Mechanic. When the Tetsucabra's HP is reduced to 84 (2/3) and 42 (1/3) for the first time, it emits a Deafening Roar. Every creature within 20 feet must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be Stunned until the end of their next turn. It then moves up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Weakened State. The Berserk Tetsucabra can only be successfully Captured if its current hit points are 42 (1/3) or lower.
Multiattack. The Tetsucabra makes two attacks: one with its Tusks and one with its Slam.
Tusks. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) piercing damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be flung 15 feet away and knocked prone.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage.
Explosive Rock Toss (Requires Boulder). The Tetsucabra hurls its boulder at a point it can see within 30 feet. The boulder explodes on impact. Each creature within 10 feet of that point must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 24 (7d6) fire damage and is Stunned until the end of its next turn. On a success, it takes half damage and is not stunned.
Description
The Berserk Tetsucabra is a subspecies known for its vibrant green skin and its even more volatile temperament. Unlike its common cousin, the Berserk variant has a specialized diet and physiological adaptions that allow it to dig up volatile, explosive boulders from deep volcanic strata. When it crushes these rocks between its massive, gnashing tusks, the resulting explosion is significantly more violent, propelling shrapnel and concussive force in a wide radius. Its increased aggression makes it a nightmare to corner, as it often enters a mindless state of fury when its territory is encroached upon.
