Lightning Charge. If the dragon is flying inside of an electrical storm or hit with a lightning attack, it can raise its metallic spines in an attempt to channel lightning as an action. Alternatively, if the dragon is hit with a lightning attack, it could instead attempt to channel the lightning as a reaction. Roll a d20. On a 7 or higher, lightning strikes the dragon and the dragon gains the Charged effect for 1d4 rounds. While Charged, the dragon gains a +6 to AC, any physical attacks have an extra 1d10 lightning damage, and it is immune to lightning damage. The effect ends when the rolled number of rounds has been reached or it uses an action that spends the electricity.
Electrical Field. If the dragon is Charged, it can create a 30ft radius sphere for 1d4 rounds that acts similar to a force field. Creatures or attacks cannot enter the field, and creatures that are within the sphere are ejected to the edge of the field. After creating the field, the dragon loses the Charged effect.
Lightning Surf. If the dragon is in a place in which it may become Charged, it can instead choose to “ride” the lightning. If so, roll a d20. On a 7 or higher, the dragon becomes immune to lightning damage until the beginning of its next turn, and may teleport up to 60ft in any direction.
Camouflage From Above. If the dragon is flying above a creature and there are storms or dark clouds in the sky, the creature has disadvantage to hit the dragon and Wisdom (Perception) checks to see the dragon.
Water Weakness. If the dragon is submerged in water, it cannot channel lightning for 1 minute.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d10 + 7 piercing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 1d8 + 7 bludgeoning damage.
Lightning Breath. If the dragon is Charged, it can exhale lightning in a 90-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10d10 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Afterwards, the dragon loses the Charged effect.
