False Appearance. While the fleshmelter remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary tree.
Weaken Prey. While the fleshmelter is ensnaring a creature, the fleshmelter halves the damage it takes (round down), and the target takes the same amount of damage.
Multiattack. The fleshmelter makes three Vine Whip attacks, uses Reel, and uses Tree Sac.
Vine Whip. Melee Attack Roll: +7, reach 15 ft. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) Bludgeoning damage, and the target is Grappled (escape DC 15). Until the grapple ends, the target is also Restrainedand has Disadvantage on Strength-based d20 Tests. The fleshmelter can only grapple one creature at a time, and can release any previously Grappled creatures whenever it wants to make this attack again.
Reel. The fleshmelter pulls a Grappled target 15 feet toward itself.
Tree Sac. Melee Attack Roll: +7, reach 5 ft., one creature Grappled by the fleshmelter. Hit: The target is ensnared by the fleshmelter. An ensnared creature is Restrained, Blinded, and begins suffocating.
Melt. A creature ensnared by the fleshmelter takes 22 (5d8) Acid damage, and other artemisian plants within 60 feet of the fleshmelter regain Hit Points equal to half of the Acid damage dealt. If the target is reduced to 0 Hit Points by this attack, it immediately dies as the fleshmelter completely dissolves its body. Only Reincarnate, True Resurrection, or another spell that creates a new body for a dead creature can bring the target back to life.
