Description

Aboleths have created a wide variety of servants to do their bidding, and that pursuit has resulted in the creation of a servant which gave rise to the legends of "Black-eyed Kids." The servant is a small humanoid who, from a distance, appears to be an ordinary human child, dressed in typical clothing for the setting. Up close, the servants have a slightly damp look to their skin and hair, and while near them the sound of children crying and laughing can be heard faintly, but constantly. And their eyes are completely black. In combat, the servants are inhumanly quick.

The BEKs serve as an effective tool for the aboleth in urban areas, to monitor the activity of the inhabitants or take out important targets. They can also serve as a powerful first layer of security for the aboleth's lair.
