Chosen of Myrkul. When Ketheric is reduced to 0 Hit Points, he dies and transforms into the Apostle of Myrkul (*See homebrew D&D Beyond stat block).
Special Equipment. Ketheric wields Ketheric's Warhammer and wears Reaper's Embrace. For any other creature, Ketheric's Warhammer is considered a +2 Warhammer and Reaper's Embrace is considered a +2 Plate.
Magical Plate. Ketheric reduces all incoming damage by 2.
Immutable Form. Ketheric cannot by affected by form-altering effects like Polymorph and has a +5 bonus to Saving Throws against the Banishment spell.
Reaper's Rigidity. At the start of his turn, Ketheric can choose to activate Reaper's Rigidity. When doing so, he cannot be moved against his will by magical or nonmagical means, but has Disadvantage on Dexterity Saving Throws for the rest of his turn.
Aura of Protection. All creatures of Ketheric's choice within 10 ft. of him receive a +6 bonus to all Saving Throws (including himself).
Aura of Hate. All Fiends or Undead of Ketheric's choice within 10 ft. of him receive a +6 bonus to their melee weapon damage (excluding himself).
Legions of Bone. When a creature dies within 40 ft. of Ketheric, it dies and will become a Skeletal Involucre (*See Bonus Actions).
Extra Attack. Ketheric can make two melee weapon attacks below.
Ketheric's Warhammer. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target within range. Hit: 9-26 (1d8+6 Bludgeoning damage plus 1d4 Psychic damage plus 1d8 Radiant damage).
Divine Smite (4/day). Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target within range. Hit: 12-50 (1d8+6 Bludgeoning damage plus 1d4 Psychic damage plus 3d8 Radiant damage)
Blinding Smite (3/Day). Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target within range. Hit: 12-50 (1d8+6 Bludgeoning damage plus 1d4 Psychic damage plus 3d8 Radiant damage). The target must also succeed a DC 20 Constitution Saving Throw or be Blinded for 1 minute.
Dreadful Aspect (1/Day). DC 20 Wisdom Saving Throw: All creatures within 30 ft. Fail: They receive the Frightened condition for 1 minute.
Incubate Death. Ketheric chooses an unoccupied space within 80 ft. of himself, spawning a Skeletal Involucre in that location. After 1 turn, these Skeletal Involucres will burst, dealing 6-27 (3d8+3) Necrotic damage to all creatures within 15 ft. on a failed DC 20 Dexterity Saving Throw (Half damage only on a success), and a Skeleton spawns in that location. The Skeleton does not have weapons but can cast Chill Touch (5th level version) and Toll the Dead (5th level version) cantrips with a Spell Save DC of 14 and a Spell Attack Bonus of +5 to hit.
Shield Bash. Trigger: A creature hits Ketheric Thorm with a melee weapon attack. Response: That creature must succeed a DC 20 Dexterity Saving Throw or be knocked Prone.
Ketheric has 3 Legendary Actions per round, using one of the following options below at the end of another creature's turn. He regains all expended Legendary Actions at the start of his turn.
Hordestrike: DC 20 Dexterity Saving Throw: One target within 60 ft. Fail: 3-32 (4d8) Force damage.
Description
Ketheric Thorm is a famous and iconic Baldur's Gate 3 character, a major antagonist and villain who is known for is ruthless brutality and cruel methods. His unfortunate circumstances and backstory (play the game to learn more) made him into a fierce Undead admiral, a commander of dreadful armies amassed in the form of loyal cultists, fanatical zealots, and Undead minions gathering in his fortress of Moonrise Towers.
