Marked for Death. As long as a creature has at least one

Poison Mark, it is poisoned and it must make a DC 13

Constitution saving throw each hour, taking 5 (2d4) poison

damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a

successful one. Also on a success, the target loses one Poison

Mark. A Poison Mark can be removed by the protection from

poison spell or similar magic.

A creature with 6 or more Poison Marks falls prone at the

end of each of its turns.

Paper Shaper. As a bonus action, the book wurm can fold or

unfold its body. While the book wurm is folded and remains

motionless, it is indistinguishable from a sheet of paper.

Description

THE BOOK WYRM

This peculiar critter is the smallest, yet most cunning

representative of the highly venomous wurm genus. With

its remarkable ability to perfectly imitate a sheet of paper,

it secretly roams wherever books are present - from the

dust-ridden library of an ancient civilization to the buzzing

book shop selling heavy tomes and fantastic scrolls. Being

able to remain motionless over extended periods of time, it

is not uncommon for this whimsical creature to be utilized

for a hasty note, a secret message or a cheesy poem of love

completely unnoticed by the unwary author.

Living Scripts. Book wurms can live up to several

centuries. The oldest ones are often covered in countless

hieroglyphs, potentially bearing the knowledge from

long-forgotten times
