The Visionary (Envisioning Reality). As the Sequence 0 Visionary, Adam is the embodiment of thoughts and imagination, the great author of the trend of time, and the orchestrator of the world's history. He has the authority to manipulate reality through his thoughts and bring anything from his imagination into reality. Objects produced by Envisioning are completely real.
Mind Manipulation Mastery. The Visionary Pathway is adept at psychological manipulation. Adam can read minds, discern emotions, and hypnotize. At his level, he can control others without their realization and even affect reality through his thoughts and dreams.
Corpse Cathedral (Divine Kingdom). Adam has created his Corpse Cathedral, a divine kingdom that separates those inside from the physical world, the Spirit World, and the Astral World. As a Visionary, every Divine Kingdom is unique according to their own imagination and contains different purposes and abilities.
Fate Manipulation (Prophecy). Adam can dictate what will happen by essentially writing what he wants to happen into a story via fate manipulation. The future he Envisions will be staged and become a reality; a declared future will happen in the real world.
Twilight Hermit Order. Adam is the leader of the Twilight Hermit Order, a secret organization that works from the shadows to revive the Ancient Sun God.
Immortality (Mind Dragon). Adam is a complete mythical creature in the form of a Mind Dragon, a conception of authority at the highest level where he can morph into any form. If his main body is destroyed, he can reincarnate through his prophecies or transfer his consciousness to one of his envisioned avatars.
Mythical Creature Form. When Adam reveals his true form as a Mind Dragon, any being with lesser or no godhood who perceives him must succeed on a DC 30 Wisdom saving throw or suffer Madness (indefinite, long-term madness per DMG) and be dominated by Adam for 1 minute.
Innate Spellcasting. Adam's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 27). He can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:
- At will: detect thoughts, dominate person, modify memory, telepathy
- 3/day each: feeblemind, foresight(self only, always active), mind blank (self only, always active), project image, true seeing (always active)
- 1/day each: imprisonment, power word stun, power word kill, time stop, wish(to replicate any spell of 8th level or lower)
Multiattack. Adam makes three attacks: one with Visionary Gaze, one with Envisioned Blade, and one with Mind Break. He can replace any attack with a use of Prophecy.
Visionary Gaze. Ranged Spell Attack: +19 to hit, range 300 ft., one target. Hit: 45 (6d12 + 10) psychic damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 27 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by Adam for 1 minute. While charmed, the target perceives Adam as a trusted ally and will not attack him unless attacked first.
Envisioned Blade. Melee Spell Attack: +19 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 55 (10d10 + 10) force damage (Adam imagines a weapon of pure thought that cuts through all defenses). This attack ignores all damage resistances and immunities.
Mind Break. Adam targets one creature within 120 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 27 Intelligence saving throw or take 70 (12d12) psychic damage and be stunned for 1 minute (repeat save at the end of each turn). On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and is not stunned.
*Prophecy (Recharge 5-6).* Adam declares a future event within 300 feet. The event must be described as a simple statement (e.g., "You will fall," "Your weapon will shatter," "You will betray your ally"). The prophecy manifests at the end of Adam's next turn, affecting the target accordingly. The target can attempt a DC 27 Wisdom saving throw to resist the prophecy. On a failure, the declared event occurs as reality. This is not a spell; it is fate manipulation.
*Envision (Recharge 5-6).* Adam imagines any object, creature, or effect into existence within 120 feet. He can create:
- An envisioned object(e.g., a fortress wall, a bridge, a cage) that is completely real and lasts for 1 hour.
- An envisioned creature(use statistics of any creature of CR 20 or lower) that acts on Adam's initiative and follows his commands. The creature lasts for 1 minute.
- An envisioned effect(e.g., a healing aura, a damaging explosion, a teleportation circle) that functions as a spell of 8th level or lower.
*Corpse Cathedral (1/Day).* Adam manifests his divine kingdom, the Corpse Cathedral, in a 500-foot radius centered on himself. The cathedral lasts for 10 minutes. While inside:
- Adam is immune to all damage and conditions.
- Adam's spells and abilities have no range limit within the cathedral.
- Hostile creatures are blindedand deafened and must succeed on a DC 27 Wisdom saving throw at the start of each of their turns or be frightened for 1 minute.
- No teleportation or planar travel is possible except by Adam's will.
*Apotheosis (1/Year).* Adam unleashes his full authority as a Sequence 0 Visionary. Each creature of his choice within 1,000 feet must make a DC 30 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, a creature is erased from existence — not killed, but unmade, as if they never existed. Even a wish spell cannot restore a creature erased this way. On a success, a creature takes 150 (30d10) psychic damage and is stunned for 1 hour.
.
Adam can take 5 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Adam regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.
- Adam moves up to half his speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
- Visionary Gaze (Costs 2 Actions).Adam makes one Visionary Gaze attack.
- Mind Break (Costs 2 Actions).Adam uses Mind Break.
- Envisioned Minion (Costs 3 Actions).Adam creates an Envisioned creature of CR 15 or lower.
- Prophecy of Doom (Costs 3 Actions).Adam uses Prophecy, declaring an immediate effect.
- Rewrite Reality (Costs 4 Actions).Adam chooses one creature within 300 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 27 Charisma saving throw or have its personal reality rewritten: its alignment changes to lawful evil, its memories are altered to serve Adam, and it becomes permanently charmed by him.
.
If Adam is reduced to 0 hit points, he immediately uses The Visionary's Resurrection. This counts as his mythic trait.
The Visionary's Resurrection. Adam's body dissolves into golden light. At the start of his next turn, he reforms at full health in any location within 1 mile that he can imagine. Additionally, he gains the following benefits for 1 minute:
- His Envision ability no longer requires a recharge.
- He can take two turns per round (one at his normal initiative, one at initiative count 20).
- His Prophecy ability affects all creatures within 300 feet instead of a single target.
Description
Adam is described as having pure and innocent eyes like a child. He appears as an ordinary priest in a simple white cloak with golden hair and beard, wearing a silver cross around his neck. This appearance belies his nature as a manipulative, calculating schemer. He is polite, patient, and genuinely curious about mortals—but he views them as pieces on a chessboard.
Calm, measured, and almost gentle. Adam speaks as a priest delivering a sermon—patient, certain, and without malice. He never raises his voice; he doesn't need to. Adam often carries the Quill of Alzuhod (0-08), a Sealed Artifact that writes stories into reality. He may be seen writing in a small notebook, penning the party's fate.
Adam does not hate. He is not angry. He is... patient. He has waited for millennia to achieve his goals. He can wait a little longer. He will offer deals, bargains, and "opportunities" to the party—not out of kindness, but because their actions serve his greater plan.
Lair and Lair Actions
When fighting in the Corpse Cathedral or any location Adam has claimed as his divine kingdom, on initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Adam takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects:
- Imagined Terrain.Adam alters the battlefield: walls become doors, floors become ceilings, distances become meaningless. The entire area is considered difficult terrain for hostile creatures.
- Mind Invasion. All hostile creatures within 300 feet must succeed on a DC 27 Wisdom saving throw or have their surface thoughts read by Adam. He learns their intentions, fears, and secrets.
- Envisioned Catastrophe.Adam imagines a disaster (e.g., a collapsing ceiling, a flood of acid, a storm of blades) in a 60-foot radius. Each creature in that area takes 55 (10d10) force damage, half on a successful DC 27 Dexterity saving throw.
