Pack Leader: The Bolt Reaver has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the Bolt Reaver's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated. Likewise, each of the alpha Reaver‘s allies has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if the alpha Reaver is within 5 feet of the creature and isn’t incapacitated.
Multiattack. The lizard makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its tail
Bite. +6 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 14 (2d10 + 3) piercing damage plus 2 (1d4) lightning damage.
Tail. +6 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage plus 2 (1d4) lightning damage.
Lightning Breath (Recharge 1d6 + 1). The Bolt Reaver exhales lightning in a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 24 (6d8) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Description
Inhabiting Coasts and Desserts, Reavers are a species of large lizards that spend most of their lives underground. Reavers are commonly found in numbers near the liars of Blue Dragons, it is believed they scavenge anything left behind by the dragon. Reavers are opportunistic omnivores being able to eat meat that has begun to spoil, and a variety of vegetation, fruits, and cacti (This is a habit limited to dessert fairing Reavers, but all members of the species are believed to be able to do this). The consistency at which Reavers are found near Blue Dragons has led many to believe them to be an omen of dangers to come. Reaver colonies vary largely in number, being as few as 3 and as many as 20 members strong. To those with no fear of the Lord these strange lizards' dwell near their scales can be used for armor and luxury goods.
Bolt Reavers are a rare variant of the Reaver lizard. The first Bolt Reaver when it was discovered was confused as a disfigured (wings missing) young blue dragon, this was due to the Bolt Reaver's ability to wield lightning. Regular Reaver lizards are a dusty yellow color giving them a natural camouflage in the sands they call home, Bolt Reavers forsake this natural adaptation in favor of a dark blue coloring across most of their large bodies, though they retain some of the golden pigment found on their smaller kin. Given the proximity in which Reavers live to the liars of Blue Dragons it is believed that some of these lizards either curious or pushed by a latent potential in their genetics consume the glass left behind by the Blue Dragon they follow. After much study it was found this may be because some of this glass retains traces of the natural magic Blue Dragons wield to channel their breath weapons. It is still unknown as to why only some Reavers have an affinity for this natural energy and why no other natural creature seems to have this ability. Bolt Reavers fill the role of alpha of their colonies. In colonies with a Bolt Reaver, it will go unchallenged for the role of alpha.
