Traits

Aura of Invulnerability. An invisible aura forms a 10-foot-radius sphere around the battle saint for as long as it lives. Any spell of 5th level or lower cast from outside the barrier can’t affect creatures or objects within it, even if the spell is cast using a higher level spell slot. Such a spell can target creatures and objects within the barrier, but the spell has no effect on them. Similarly, the area within the barrier is excluded from the areas affected by such spells. The battle saint can use an action to suppress this trait until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell).

Innate Spellcasting. The Battle Saint's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 15). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

2/day each: Bless, Cure Wounds, Protection from Evil and Good

1/day each: Banishment, Heal, Raise Dead, Shapechange, Teleport

Actions

Warhammer. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

Sacred Flame. The battle saint targets one creature she can see within 60 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 13 (2d8 + 4) radiant damage. The target gains no benefit from cover for this saving throw.

Channel Divinity: Blasting. Each creature in the cone must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 17 (5d6) thunder damage and is deafened for 1 minute. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn’t deafened. Nonmagical objects in the cone that aren’t being held or worn take 35 (10d6) thunder damage.

Channel Divinity: Radiance. Creatures in the cone must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking 22 (4d8 + 4) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Evil creatures have disadvantage on the saving throw. Good creatures in the cone take no damage.

Description

Battle saints are disciplined battlefield clerics trained to keep warriors alive in the worst conditions of war. They are not cloistered priests or gentle temple attendants. They march with shield walls, mercenary companies, crusading orders, and desperate last stands, carrying medicine, scripture, and a weapon in equal measure.

A battle saint usually wears heavy armor marked by long service: dented plate, patched cloth, worn leather straps, and a shield bearing simple sacred markings. She fights best beside a frontline defender, using divine magic to protect nearby allies from hostile spells while mending wounds, strengthening resolve, and driving back evil.

Though compassionate, a battle saint is not passive. She offers mercy to the wounded, courage to the frightened, and judgment to those who prey on the weak. Enemies who mistake her for an easy target quickly learn that the healer is often the hardest member of the line to break.
