Phase 1: Old Disguise. While in Phase 1, Bahamut can cast prepared spells up to 7th level.
Phase 2: Aura of Warding. While in Phase 2, a 20-foot-radius sphere of protective energy surrounds Bahamut. Friendly creatures within this radius have resistance to damage from spells and magical effects.
The Living Anchor (Phase 3). At the start of Phase 3, Bahamut’s current hit points instantly reset to his maximum pool of 666. This feature fails to function only if an enemy spell or special feature explicitly prevents him from regaining hit points or receiving healing.
Aura of Righteousness (Phase 3). A permanent 30-foot-radius sphere of absolute moral authority surrounds Bahamut’s Gargantuan base. Any enemy creature that enters or starts its turn within the aura must succeed on a DC 25 Wisdom saving throw or have its movement speed halved and suffer disadvantage on all weapon attack rolls as the crushing presence of justice disrupts its stance.
The Platinum Awakening: If he takes 333 total damage during this phase, or takes 150 or more damage in a single round of combat, his mortal disguise shatters, instantly forcing him into Phase 2.
The Absolute Apotheosis: If Bahamut’s hit points are reduced to 0 during this phase, or takes 150 or more damage in a single round of combat, his material bindings fail entirely; his current hit points instantly reset back to his absolute maximum pool of 666 as he assumes his true, ultimate divine form.
Multiattack (Phase 1). Bahamut makes two attacks with his Cane Strike or casts one prepared spell up to 7th level.
Cane Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 7) bludgeoning damage plus 9 (2d8) radiant damage.
Multiattack (Phase 2). Bahamut makes three attacks: one with his Bite and two with his Claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 29 (4d10 + 7) piercing damage plus 11 (2d10) radiant damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 7) slashing damage.
Multiattack (Phase 3). Bahamut makes three attacks: one with his Sovereign Strike and two with his Platinum Claws. Alternatively, he unleashes one of his Breath Weapons.
Sovereign Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +19 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 35 (4d12 + 9) slashing damage plus 26 (4d12) radiant damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 27 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone as its balance is completely shattered.
Platinum Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +19 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (2d12 + 9) slashing damage. Platinum Breath (Recharge 5–6). Bahamut unleashes one of the following breath weapons in a 90-foot cone:
Disintegration Breath. Each creature in the area must make a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw, taking 77 (22d6) force damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
Gale Breath. Each creature in the area must make a DC 26 Strength saving throw. On a failure, a target is pushed 60 feet away from Bahamut and knocked Prone.
Celestial Shielding Bahamut can use a reaction to increase his Armor Class by 5 against one incoming attack. He can use this reaction once in Phase 1, and up to three times in Phase 2, tracking his spent uses individually.
Absolute Counter-Strike (5). When a creature within 120 feet targets an ally of Bahamut with an attack or spell, Bahamut can use a reaction to unleash a bolt of prismatic light at the triggering creature. The target must succeed on a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw or take 22 (4d10) radiant damage and have its attack roll or spell automatically fail as the blinding light breaks its concentration. Bahamut can use this reaction up to five times.
Description
MYTHIC GOD: BAHAMUT, THE PLATINUM DRAGON
The King of the Good Dragons — Sovereign of the Celestial Mount
To the acolytes and scholars of the mortal realms, dragons represent raw, primeval forces of destructive vanity or unaligned hunger. Yet, those who have pierced the absolute heights of the Upper Planes know that the lineage possesses a supreme, divine apex known as Bahamut. Standing as a monumental dragon wrapped in brilliant, platinum-white scales that reflect the light of the astral currents, he watches over the material plane with clinical benevolence, ensuring that the ancient balance between the chromatic dark and the platinum light is systematically maintained and defended.
Lair and Lair Actions
The Platinum Dragon permanently bends the weather and natural laws within his sanctum. On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Bahamut can take a lair action to cause one of the following effects; he cannot use the same option two rounds in a row:
Polymorphed Companions. Bahamut is accompanied by 7 adult Gold Dragon’s, polymorphed to look like yellow canaries. During Phase 1, he can choose to return up to 2 of them to the their true forms at a time.
Shield of the Just. Bahamut alters the local spiritual current, causing a protective, glowing grid of celestial energy to erupt in a 60-foot radius centered on a point he can see. Any friendly creature inside the area gains a +2 bonus to its Armor Class, and its weapon strikes deal an additional 8 (2d6) radiant damage on a successful hit.
Aura of Finality. Bahamut pulses a wave of absolute ritual authority through his sanctum. Targetted cratures within 90 feet must succeed on a DC 22 Charisma saving throw or be Deafened and Blinded by the sudden flash of celestial light for 1 round.
