Undead Nature. The mummy does not require air, food, drink, or sleep.

Actions

Rotting Grab. Melee Attack Roll: +6, reach 5 ft. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) Bludgeoning damage plus 3 (1d6) Necrotic damage. If the target is Medium or smaller, it is subjected to the following effect. Strength Saving Throw: DC 14. Failure: The target has the Grappled condition (escape DC 14).

Drag to the Deep. The mummy drags one creature it is Grappling up to 15 feet and buries it in the muck. A buried creature has the Restrained condition and begins Suffocating; water breathing provides no benefit in the muck. A buried creature can break free by using its action to succeed on a DC 14 Strength (Athletics) check. An ally within 5 feet can pull it free with the same check as their action. If the mummy dies, the buried creature remains Restrained and Suffocating until it escapes under its own power.

Description

Where ancient bogs have claimed the living for generations, the dead do not always stay down. Cold, airless peat preserves what the earth should rightly consume: skin that tightens to dark leather, flesh that hardens to something close to iron, features smoothed by centuries of pressure into featureless masks the color of the bog itself. When dark magic permeates such a place — seeping from a sunken temple, pooling at a site of ancient sacrifice, or drawn by the will of some deeper power — these preserved dead stir. They do not rise. They sink deeper, settling into the muck floor with a patience born of centuries.

A bog mummy has no eyes. It needs none. It perceives the living through the water and sediment above it, aware of every disturbance, every displaced current, every movement that passes too close. When prey ventures within reach, it erupts from the muck with terrible strength, seizes what it finds, and pulls it down into the cold, airless dark. Water breathing offers no salvation in the choking muck — nothing breathes there. What a bog mummy drags under does not come back up easily.
