Apprentice of the Occult Vase

Mages of the Occult Vase dedicate their lives to fostering peace, prosperity, and civic harmony through acts of charity, wisdom, and service. As a result, these mages occupy a contentious place in the societies they serve. To some, they are guardians of order and compassionate shepherds who temper cruelty, greed, and violence before such vices can take root. To others, they are unsettling figures whose magic erodes personal freedom, enforcing moral conduct through unseen arcane influence rather than choice. Whether revered as protectors or criticized as meddlers, Mages of the Occult Vase remain steadfast in their conviction that a peaceful society is worth the cost of gentle coercion.

Apprentices of the Occult Vase accompany their masters on journeys of service, assisting them in resolving disputes, aiding communities, and carrying out the order's many duties. Through observation and practice, they learn the principles of harmony, compassion, and responsible stewardship that define the order.

An apprentice's vase remains unfilled throughout their training. Only upon completing their tutelage are they permitted to seek out a sacred spring, holy font, or other blessed source from which to draw the consecrated water that empowers an Occult Vase. This rite marks their acceptance into the order as a full mage and symbolizes their commitment to preserving both life and virtue.
