Traits

Spellcasting. Baba Grýla's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 13). She can innately cast the following spells:

3/day each: disguise self (including the form of a Medium humanoid), fog cloud.

She also carries a giant animated spoon called Granny's Pestle that she uses as a quarterstaff. While holding it, Baba Grýla can cast the following spells, without the need of material components:

Cantrips (at will): chill touch, infestation, mage hand, shillelagh
5/day: command, hex, infict wounds, speak with animals, unseen servant, witch bolt
4/day: augury, darkness, locate object, spider climb, suggestion
3/day: bestow curse, speak with dead, spirit guardians, stinking cloud
2/day: animate objects, danse macabre, hallucinatory terrain

Actions

Multiattack. Baba Grýla makes three attacks: one with her bite and two with her claws. Instead, she can forgo one of the claw attacks to use her quarterstaff (Granny's Pestle).

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., on target. Hit: 15 (3d6 + 5) piercing damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., on target. Hit: 15 (3d6 + 5) slashing damage.

Quarterstaff (Granny's Pestle). Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., on target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage or 14 (2d8 +5) if wielded with two hands. This counts as a magical weapon attack, and Baba Grýla can't be disarmed.

Crushing Hug. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., on target. Hit: 36 (9d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage and the target is grappled (escape DC 15) if it is a Large or smaller creature. Until the grapple ends, the target takes 36 (9d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage at the start of each of the hag’s turns. Baba Grýla can’t make attacks while grappling a creature in this way.

Description

An malevolous and old crone, feared by even other creatures of the night, Baba Grýla is the hag that lives on her house, known as the Hag's Cottage, in the forest of Crone's Grove near the town of Kross. She uses a enormous spoon covered with bones of children and dark tallismans as a staff, and flies around on a cauldron drawn by an unkindness of ravens. She also holds leadership over a small clan of fomorians that lives on Crone's Grove, who call her "granny".
