Legendary Resistance (2/Day). If Annabelle Everlight fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.
Spellcasting. Annabelle Everlight casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components and using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 16):
At will: Mage Armor, Mind Sliver (2d6), Chill Touch (2d10)
2/day each: Bane, Armor of Agathys (4th Level)
1/day each: Dissonant Whispers (2nd Level), Hold Person, Wither and Bloom (5th Level), Dispel Magic (5th Level)
Curse of Resonance (recharges on a 5-6). Annabelle Everlight targets a point she can see within 30 feet of herself. The shadows coalesce into a series of long pins which are hurled at each creature within a 15 foot sphere centered on that point. Each creature in the area must make a DC 16 Charisma saving throw, taking 12 (5d4) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. Creatures that failed the save feel a tingling sensation at the base of their skull as the curse magically links their souls to each other. When a cursed target takes damage, another randomly selected cursed creature will take necrotic damage equal to half the original damage dealt. Cursed creatures can attempt a DC 16 Charisma saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending on a success.
Shadow Pin. Annabelle summons a magical hairpin which she then flings at a creature she can see within 60 feet of herself, pinning their shadow in place on a failure. The creature must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw, or its speed is reduced to 0 until the end of its next turn.
2/day: Arcane Vigor
If a creature deals damage to Annabelle Everlight while grappled by a Cursed Doll, Annabelle can use her reaction to have the grappling doll intercept the attack, taking the damage in her place.
2/day: Counterspell
Annabelle Everlight can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Annabelle regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.
Dark Beauty. Annabelle Everlight magically teleports, along with any equipment she is wearing or carrying, to an unoccupied space she can see within 30 feet of herself that isn't in bright light.
Trophy of Vanity. Annabelle Everlight can summon a Cursed Doll to do her bidding. Dolls summoned this way take a turn.
Description
Annabelle Everlight is a witch that sold her soul for the secrets of eternal youth and an extended life. Obsessed with beauty, she serves as a beautician in Darkwater Bay where she owns a salon called The Pursuit of Beauty. Jealous of the full elves who maintain their ethereal beauty for centuries, Annabelle made a deal with the hag, Cailleach, of the Witches of Morghanna to learn how she too can preserve her beauty and life. The Hag taught her a dark ritual to extract the life-force from other women, stealing their beauty and their life. Additionally, over the years she also found a forbidden spell to transform the unfortunate women into Cursed Dolls which she can control and slowly siphon the life from.
Lair and Lair Actions
Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Annabelle Everlight can take a lair action to cause one of the following magical effects; the lich can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Annabelle takes the Trophy of Vanity Legendary Action three times without expending a Legendary Action.
- Annabelle targets a creature within 60 feet and casts Bestow Curse at the 5th level.
- Annabelle targets a creature that is grappled by one of her Cursed Dolls and siphons off their life-force. The targeted creature must make a DC 16 Charisma saving throw taking 4d8 necrotic damage on a failure, and half as much on a success. Annabelle regains hit points equal to half of the damage dealt this way. Creatures that fail their save have disadvantage on their next D20 test.
